ARROW's Stephen Amell Says He Would Guest Star On A Relaunched CONSTANTINE

Despite the official cancellation of Constantine, could we see an Oliver Queen/John Constantine team up in the future? Well, the man behind the hood in the CW's Arrow claims that he would very happily feature in an episode of the show... if it's brought back from the dead.

Usually, the cancellation of a television show means that show is done and dusted. However, things seem to be a little different with NBC's Constantine. Though the network confirmed that it would not be producing another season of the comic book-based series, there's still talk of moving it to another network, or something of the sort. Now, Arrow star Stephen Amell has voiced his support for a continuation for Constantine, offering to guest star in an episode if it's picked up once again.

Of course, by no means is this a sure-fire way to see Constantine return to television, but Amell is a valuable asset for WBTV and could be a great incentive for NBC (or anyone else) to reconsider the cancellation. How this would even work, we're not sure, but if it does... would you like to see the CW's Green Arrow team up with the Hellblazer himself?

I love Stephen Amell's passion for comic book films/television, and how invested he is in the CW DCverse.

I haven't seen Constantine so I can't be sure, but the CW version of Oliver would be a weird fit with the world of Hellblazer.

I really hope that if he does, it will be when Arrow is actually being written well. I like Stephen and think he's a good actor but Arrow is being written so badly. Arrow and Constantine would be better off getting better writers and making them both great shows

Amell is such a bro. Not many actors get so invested in a superhero role. Say what you want about his chops or Arrow's quality, this guy loves being Oliver Queen.

It's all about the direction here.
Constantine needs to stop trying to be a Supernatural/Sleepy Hollow knockoff and just get more ballsy with its content + a more serialized approach.
Arrow needs to be better focused on the main storyline, next season.

The sad thing about Constantine getting canceled is knowing that Etrigan, Spectre, Phantom Stranger and Dr. Fate were planned for the next season. Personally, I don't think Green Arrow really works in the universe Constantine was in. Yeah, it be cool seeing him and John team up, but John's just a lot different then Oliver.

Stephen is amazing and if it happens! CONSTANTINE in the ARROWVERSE!!!
Vixen guest starring on both show!
Constantine talks about Ra's and the Lazarus Pit
Bringing in a huge douche like Constantine to meet the Flash and even the new Hawkgirl!
THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS

@oMonRo constantine would be better on hbo or showtime in order to be tru to the hellblazer comics.

@Dev7 season 4 has already been confirmed, also if smallville ran for 10 seasons, arrow will definitely be here for a while. which is awesome.

Hate him/bash his acting/bash the show/whatever, this is still great incentive on Amell's part because he is obviously valuable to the bigger picture of Warner Brothers/DC television because of Arrow(and what the series has done to not only DCTV but CBTV as a whole and if you can't even accept this then that's telling enough) and this could perk up some ears in at least trying to move forward with Constantine, although if Constantine were to appear say on Netflix, I don't see it being in the same universe as Arrow, Flash or anything that's on television, broadcast or cable.

I continue to respect this guy and it's funny when trolls say "you have a crush on him" just because people actually respect an actual human being. Yes, that's right....I'm saying trolls aren't human beings.

@oMonRo

For Constantine to stop being a Sleepy Hollow knockoff, SH needs to stop being a Supernatural knockoff, lol.

But, I wouldn't even characterize Constantine as being a knockoff, especially with the other two shows you mentioned. Constantine delivers better quality in horror than both shows who seem to focus more on either a balance of horror and humor or in Supernatural's case, a balance of horror, humor and meta fiction.

@MisterSuperior I'm purely basing that analogy off of earlier ep of Supernatural and SH.
I can't say I agree on the assessment of Constantine delivering better quality horror.
The humor is certainly there with the quirky lead.
I just wished Constantine hadn't fallen into this formula.

How well does this distinguish itself from Grimm?
MisterSuperior
MisterSuperior - 5/8/2015, 8:23 PM
@oMonRo

Grimm certainly feels more....respectful at times when it comes to its lore and mythology as well as slow-pacing, which I prefer because it stretches things out and doesn't feel so fast-paced, but I haven't been watching Grimm the last couple of episodes because I hate the idea of what's happening with Juliette.

Funny enough you did mention Supernatural though because I just read a tweet from the man who plays Crowley and he said 'Let's save a show.' with the hashtag of SaveConstantine.

That comradery is beautiful.

In any case, if this makes it back to tv on whichever network a serious overhaul is necessary for some legitimate success.

Or how bout having Constantine guest star on Arrow to show the universes are connected and whether the show comes back or not he's still out there handling business :]

I actual liked the show, was very risky with all the demonology and occult stuff, it wasnt a show for kids and thats all good in this day and age when everything is watered down to sell toys

#SaveConstantine is trending. Other celebs have spoken up to save the show and to guest star including William Shatner and Joseph Morgan, Amell is a good leader rallying the troops. Shatner for Alan Scott and Morgan for Jason Blood/ Etrigan.

Put it on AMC so it can have some ballz. A show about demons and Hell should be violent and griddy, not safe and pretty.

You should put all the celebrities tweets supporting the show, its pretty cool they're trying to save it. Daniel Cerone even asked William shatner if he would guest star as Kent Nelson if it got picked back up

That tweet makes seem arrogant. Does he honestly think a network would take on the show just because she says he would guest star? He isnt that big a star and would not bring in many more viewers (he also isnt a very good actor)

The irony is that your comment sounds more arrogant that Amell's tweet simply because Amell is just trying to help out another DC-related show by bringing up his name to guest star as he plays another DC character. I don't know how you can't understand his tweet but perhaps some people read way too much into tweets these days.
