CONSTANTINE Animated Series Premieres At WonderCon And The CW Seed On The Same Day
After appearing in NBC's short-lived Constantine drama and making several guest appearances in the Arrowverse, Matt Ryan's con-artist magician will premiere his new animated show in just a few weeks.
Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Television announced their WonderCon line-up yesterday and as expected, it's full of DCTV staples such as Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash and Supergirl.
Of particular note, is the premiere of Matt Ryan's animated Constantine webseries which will premiere at the convention and on CWSeed.com on March 24.
Ryan is voicing the main protagonist in the webseries, which was written by veteran comic book writer J. M. DeMatteis. DeMatteis says the webseries will be darker and closer to the old Vertigo Hellblazer series than the NBC drama.
Similar to the preceding Vixen animated series on the CWseed, episodes will have a shorter runtime traditional animated shows but Constantine's episodes will be 10 minutes each whereas Vixen's were only 2-3 minutes.
