Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Television announced their WonderCon line-up yesterday and as expected, it's full of DCTV staples such as Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash and Supergirl

Of particular note, is the premiere of Matt Ryan's animated Constantine webseries which will premiere at the convention and on CWSeed.com on March 24.

Ryan is voicing the main protagonist in the webseries, which was written by veteran comic book writer
J. M. DeMatteis.  DeMatteis says the webseries will be darker and closer to the old Vertigo Hellblazer series than the NBC drama.

Similar to the preceding Vixen animated series on the CWseed, episodes will have a shorter runtime traditional animated shows but Constantine's episodes will be 10 minutes each whereas Vixen's were only 2-3 minutes.

@Pathogen - At least it's not the 2-3 minute episodes Vixen received.

@MarkJulian - I haven't watched that, as I don't care about Vixen's character. I'll watch this, but I'm not paying extra for CW seed to do it (I'm assuming they want you to subscribe to their online content? I dunno)

It’s weird how the CW saved Supergirl right away but didn’t bother to even think about saving Constantine’s show.

I wish DC/WB could stop trying to turn John Constantine into a poor man's version of Doctor Strange. The character deserves a much more adult and disturbing approach. The movie with Keanu and the TV show with Ryan are just inoffensive 'vanilla' versions of Hellblazer.

Matt Ryan is being treated like some jerk stuck in the friend zone. He gets an appearance once a year and now a little cartoon series, but how can a guy pay the bills when he is given table scraps?
