Personally I can't imagine WB making a WW3 after this movie. Patty's excuse when asked about WW being a rapist was "if you want to get hung up on it, oh well" She didn't even try to explain it.
WW84 is the worse cbm of the decade. I enjoyed Green Lantern and New Mutants far more and put it just under F4. It's absolutely unwatchable. Horrific!! Die hard fans of the franchise have turned their backs on the franchise. Hating Patty and WB outright.
The worse part about all this is after the media blitz of the first film all WB had to do was make a competent sequel...not great. Just competent. And critics and fans would have went on pretending this franchise was top tier. All that armor WB put around the first film, giving Influencers far more than they ever have before in a effort to pull the DCEU outta of the slump got threw under the bus. All that work for nothing!! Why WB. Why!!
Wonder Woman was overrated and part 2 was the worse of the decade. One of the worse franchises of all time setting female cbms back 40 years. Thank god for Captain Marvel and Wandavision!!
Things are not going exactly as planned for Warner on the profit side of things as well. As they saw Wonder Woman 1984 severely underperform in China, according to Variety. Despite its predecessor being a $38m hit in 2017, Wonder Woman 1984 only sold around $18.8m in China this time around, falling short of Chinese blockbuster The Rescue which grabbed $36m from the box office, even with the former taking up most of the IMAX screenings in the country.
Outside of China, things are not looking much better for Wonder Woman 1984, with the film totaling $38.5m from all 32 markets where it opened, a relatively small number far below the $60m dollar expectations Warner had for opening weekend.
More evidence has even suggested WW84 is a complete and total bust ww with or without the pandemic. Extreme negative word of mouth wiped this movie off the map.
So do you guys think there's any chance in hell of a sequal? In my opinion 84 is a bonified franchise killer.
