DEADPOOL 2 Star Ryan Reynolds Is Still Trying To Convince Hugh Jackman To Return As WOLVERINE For A Team-Up

Hugh Jackman retired from the role of Wolverine after starring in Logan but Deadpool 2 star Ryan Reynolds now reveals that he's doing his best to get the actor to return as the iconic clawed mutant.

Logan ended with the death of Wolverine but seeing as that tale took place in the future and James Howlett is hundreds of years old, there's still potential for more stories with that character to be told. Unfortunately, Hugh Jackman doesn't appear to be remotely interested in returning as the popular member of the X-Men but that isn't going to stop Ryan Reynolds from attempting to win him back.

"He’s alive and well in my timeline," the actor teases. "There is a Logan running around out there with a little bushy chest and his little sharpy,
sharpy claws, and he is alive and well and ready to go. I would love that." The pair did meet in X-Men Origins: Wolverine but that wasn't exactly the team-up most fans wanted, so what are the chances we'll see these two cross paths on the silver screen?

"I think convincing Hugh of that would be a near-impossible feat, but there’s no human being I love more than Hugh Jackman in that universe, and equally so as a friend. He’s just the best," Reynolds says in regards to bringing Wolverine back. "I already miss him as Logan, so I’m one of those guys that whenever I see him, I’m like, ‘Come on, man. Just one more. We’ll do it together. It’ll be fun. Come on! On three. Here we go, together. One, two, three, together,’ and it’s always just me saying it."

Stranger things have happened but Jackman does seem uninterested so we'll just have to wait and see.

@HeavyMetal4Life - what is that from?

i agree with some it should end on the good note of old man logan, then MCU wolverine enter, now if at some point young wolverine fought old man logan in some type of alternate timeline or time travel sitch, then i would not complain one bit

@HeavyMetal4Life - Oh I see, well they did a great job with the suit, its weird how it matches the lighting of that scene, its like some type of grey or dreary filter was used and his suit matches it, reminds me of the movie sleepy hollow, i heard tim burton uses that same filter or technique on almost all of his movies, who knows if its true, but they sure are dark and dreary at times but still in perfect daylight

Just let X-23 slice the shit out of Deadpool and ignore all his humorous remarks in a future X-force film.

If Logan wasn't such a good send off I’d be up for this even though I’m not looking forward to deadpool 2, the money this movie would make

Make it an awesome dream sequence where Wade is reading a magazine with Hugh Jackman's face and then fantasizes about teaming up with his Logan.

@HeavyMetal4Life - would be a funny scene to open the movie with. Deadpool and Wolverine just tearing up some enemies. As the fight progresses, it gets more surreal and weird until the audience is like, WTF is happening? Maybe Wolverine has his mouth sealed shut this time? Then DP wakes up on the crapper naked with a magazine covering his junk. It has Hugh on the cover. aaand we all try not to think about what he was doing before he fell asleep. Then his GF walks in...

Jackman should make a deal with Reynolds. “You come back as Green Lantern and I’ll come back as Wolverine.

@RolandD - HAHA mabey you should be writing Deapool man, that is a top notch funny idea....like literally find a way to put that in a movie even if it doesn't happen, like a scene in hollywood and you see two people from the back who you can pretty much tell its Reynolds and Hack, oh and they are sitting together in the same seat too next to each other, and after your line above, Hacks like "hey btw, cant you just sit across from me like normal" Reynolds "NOPE!" haa

I think a cameo in a Deadpool film would be the most likely way he would return.

The "parody"/comedic aspect of Deadpool (not negative at all) make his apperance feel more like a fun skit, whihc will keep the beauty of Logan being his final emotional performance as Logan.

Would love to see Hugh Jackman making cameos as Hugh Jackman,
Maybe he could be a cab driver or something,
