VIDEO: Cable Shows Serious Power As He Leaps Across The Set Of DEADPOOL 2

We recently got our first official look at Josh Brolin's Cable and now a video from the set of the sequel reveals that Nathan Summers' cybernetic enhancements have paid off as he makes a gigantic leap...

Cable is making his long overdue big screen debut in Deadpool 2 and something that's become clear recently is that Josh Brolin has got seriously jacked for the role. However, it appears as if this version of the fan-favourite mutant is going to have a few more powers than his comic book counterpart as this latest set video shows Cable leaping effortlessly into the air as if he also has enhanced strength.

Cable's cybernetic enhancements can probably be thanked for that but this video - which features Brolin's stunt double - gives us our first idea of how the time-traveller will move around in the sequel.

We still don't know why Cable has travelled back in time in Deadpool 2 but as this franchise stands apart from the X-Men movies, chances are it won't have too much of an impact on those. It's possible the sequel will set up the events of X-Force, of course, but many fans are already speculating that the teddy bear he's carrying around with him could be a nod to Cable's adventures with Hope Summers.

I am getting more and more excited for this movie. I almost want to stop watching set videos and pics but can't help myself. At least Thor and Justice League are coming out soon to distract.

@grif - Apart from the comedy, good action and story sure. Costumes dont decide whether the movie is good or not

I like it! Nice use of his TK powers in action. As for his look, I think it's solid. Hopefully his hair gets grayer in the next film he appears in (X-Force?), and I'd love to see them put him in something blue and gray as a nod to his comic roots. Maybe change his hairstyle slightly too. He's a time traveler, so his hairstyle changing would be a cool yet subtle way to remind folks that for him time is not linear and he jumps around. Just a thought...

Thanos, now Cable...but once upon a time, Jonah Hex. To be fair he was far from the worst thing in that movie. I LOVE Will Arnett but what was he doing in that??
