Via Twitter, creator Robert Liefeld shared some of his thoughts regarding Tim Miller, a director who will bring Deadpool to the big screen, in his own comic book adaptation.

"The Deadpool director, Tim Miller has an outstanding CGI/FX company, Blur Studios. Miller has all the instincts, tools and tech to pull off the most crazy aspects of Deadpool film. And Miller had to run the gauntlet, getting the blessing of writers Reese and Wernick, as well as Ryan Reynolds AND the studio. The Deadpool script calls for some CRAZY visual sequences - needed a director with extensive FX mojo. Looking forward 2 Tim Miller's direction.

Trust me, having read the script a thousand times, I had legitimate concerns over directors being able to handle the requirements of DP. I believe the DP film scared the crap out of some prospective directors. As a matter of fact I know some of them were intimidated. Seriously the action and direction imagined by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick is crazy complicated. Think the best of Kill Bill, Matrix, Woo.."

With Ryan Reynolds still attached, Deadpool is probably going to start production this year.

Rob Liefeld is the sorriest excuse for a comicbook "artist" to ever live. Maybe i'll care what he says when he learns how to draw hands and feet.

Blur does some amazing work. The dawn of war fame intro w amazing. But that doesn't mean the guycna direct real actors and be in charge of a live action production crew. Look what happened with starship trooper. Phil tippet one of the most amazing animators and vfx guys in the world directed starship trooper 2. And it was one of the worst movies ever made.

I have read the script and it is amazing. So if they can keep the executives hand's off of it then, this movie will become a new vision of how CBM's can be translated to film. Think it has the potential to be one of the best action comedies ever, let alone CBM's.

Well I have some seriously high hopes for this movie. Script has gotten nothing but praise, and this guy may be able to pull it off. He's basically been doing game trailers and such, but even those have to get hte basic story, characters and action across. Reynolds has been the strongest supporter for this film o i say let him run with it, however if he can't do it, lets get Sean William Scott in the role. I'm sure he'd do it justice too. He was able to pull his insaity back a bit for "Bulletproof Monk" and "The Rundown."

The guy obviously knows how to pull off crazy action scenes, and the way he throws it all together visually, its amazing. I for one am excited to see this movie. As long as it maintains an R rating. Pg 13 will kill it. I don't see the harm in throwing together a Knights style film in the studios. Make this movie for adults. I mean, i can see the obvious drawbacks to making R films, the money lost because you can't get that teen crowd in without their parents, but still, its Deadpool... He is a homicidal manic who laughs and has the hots for A Golden Girl...

I'm fine with everyone attached to this project except for FOX. With a rookie in the director's chair, FOX will do what ever they want. I'm worried about another Wolverine or X3. It seems like the main reason Aronofsky left The Wolverine was due to not being able to have complete control over the project as opposed to the PR statements he provided. Reynolds is great for the character. Reese and Wernick spit out a great script. A director coming from a visual effects background can make something great. Look at James Cameron.

I think we all need an interview with Tim Miller right now.

That way we can see if he's up to it, if he knows and loves Deadpool, what he thinks he can bring to the table, when shooting can actually start, thoughts on release date, etc.

Honestly don't know what's taking so long for the media to reach him.

FX alone won'r save this movie from abomination. If that's all they have to say about this Miller guy, then FAIL. Creative directing is needed to cinematically move the story along smoothly. FX won't make a miracle happen. I've yet to be sold.

It's easily one of the best CBM scripts.

What Tim Miller needs to do is stick 100% to it, give the crispiest visuals he can craft, keep the R rating, Ryan Reynolds in the role and FOX not intervening.

Too many "if"s. If the above happens however, a true marvel is to be seen. Fox and the R rating are the hardest ones but I truly hope for the best.
