Hugh Jackman Isn't Convinced That The World Wants A DEADPOOL/WOLVERINE Team-Up

Despite pleas from fans and Ryan Reynolds alike, Hugh Jackman has reiterated in a new interview that he's finished with Wolverine and isn't convinced the world wants a team-up between them regardless...

Hugh Jackman hung up his claws after starring in Logan last year and now that Disney is the process of acquiring Fox, the only way we're going to see Wolverine team up with Deadpool is if Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige somehow convince the actor to reprise the role (which seems highly unlikely considering how much him playing the hero again would confuse casual moviegoers).

During a recent interview, Jackman was asked about a potential return and said, "Oh, Wolverine will be back. Someone's going to buy him, I don't know."

When it was mentioned that it won't be him who does so, he added: "No, but Ryan [Reynolds] is relentless. He keeps coming back to me in all these ways, shapes and forms. I just said, 'You know I just don't think the world really wants to see Deadpool and Wolverine.' Maybe a cameo from Deadpool? I just think it runs over it for Deadpool."

While Jackman could be playing coy, the chances of Drew Goddard's X-Force coming together before this merger completes appear to be somewhere between slim and none, so short of a cameo in Once Upon a Deadpool, this simply isn't going to happen.

That sucks but we'll always have...X-Men Origins: Wolverine?! Sigh...

Once upon a deadpool would've been the perfect oppurtunity. Just a short scene which includes Wolverine (not the post credit scene) in Deadpool's christmas retelling of his story could've worked

@MalseMarcel - I agree. I think since he he retelling the events but from his own censored perspective it would have been the perfect opportunity to shoe horn in a Wolverine cameo.

@MalseMarcel -

while Deadpool and Wolverine could be epic on screen and something that makes big bucks... i think it really compromises Logan.

That being said, should we avoid things like this in the future because it could make another movie less-so in retrospective??

@NinnesMBC - ypu do realize the fox universe is dead right. X-men belong to marvel now and jackman isnt showing in the mcu.

How the [frick] will the cameo happen?

Well, he is dead wrong.

But probably it's too late to build that film now that the fox continuity it's taking it's last breath.

A reshoot of this moment but with Deadpool walking in would have been funny.

Or just a Hugh Jackman cameo as himself where he tells Deadpool to tell Ryan Reynolds to cut this crap out (i.e. go f*** himself.)

I actually think the last Fox Marvel movie should be DEADPOOL 3 and have him be aware the Fox Universe is ending and so he uses Cables time travel device to go to the moment of Wolverine's death in Logan, save him and have them do on a buddy cop style road trip through time to all the significant moments in the Foxmen movies to attempt to right every continuity error in the hopes it will save universe from being erased by an unknown villian who is revealed at the end to be Mickey Mouse wearing the Infinity Gauntlet. Deadpool and Logan's adventure is ultimately fruitless, but Deadpool always knew that and just wanted to be with Wolverine at the end if it all.

They need to move on from Jackman and promote the new generation of mutants...

@Forthas - you what reAly bothered me about the movie version of X-23 l. She is so small if they coated her bones in adimantium she couldn't grow and it would probably kill her in a few months.

@DeathSeal - But it would not kill her because her power to heal is why she was able to have the Adamantium grafted.

It could be they anticipated that an grafted inside the bone so the bones can expand around it.

I'd go see a Deadpool/Wolverine movie, but I won't watch any more Fox X-Men movies, even if they shove Deadpool in there.

Jesus, let him rest. He had a great ending with logan. This is why i never trust fanboys judgment over "stakes".

They keep asking for deaths so they can feel vindicated but when they do happen they make petitions to bring said characters back

You have zero idea what you want.

Ryan would put him in the yellow suit too.
