Hugh Jackman Isn't Convinced That The World Wants A DEADPOOL/WOLVERINE Team-Up

Despite pleas from fans and Ryan Reynolds alike, Hugh Jackman has reiterated in a new interview that he's finished with Wolverine and isn't convinced the world wants a team-up between them regardless...

Hugh Jackman hung up his claws after starring in Logan last year and now that Disney is the process of acquiring Fox, the only way we're going to see Wolverine team up with Deadpool is if Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige somehow convince the actor to reprise the role (which seems highly unlikely considering how much him playing the hero again would confuse casual moviegoers).

During a recent interview, Jackman was asked about a potential return and said, "Oh, Wolverine will be back. Someone's going to buy him, I don't know."

When it was mentioned that it won't be him who does so, he added: "No, but Ryan [Reynolds] is relentless. He keeps coming back to me in all these ways, shapes and forms. I just said, 'You know I just don't think the world really wants to see Deadpool and Wolverine.' Maybe a cameo from Deadpool? I just think it runs over it for Deadpool."

While Jackman could be playing coy, the chances of Drew Goddard's X-Force coming together before this merger completes appear to be somewhere between slim and none, so short of a cameo in Once Upon a Deadpool, this simply isn't going to happen.

That sucks but we'll always have...X-Men Origins: Wolverine?! Sigh...
