Ryan Reynolds Still Wants A Wolverine/Deadpool Team-Up But Explains Why He Won't Be In LOGAN
After denying reports that Deadpool will show up in Logan, Ryan Reynolds has reiterated his desire for a team-up while simultaneously explaining why he wouldn't fit into the next Wolverine movie...
Taking to Twitter a little earlier today, Ryan Reynolds once again pointed out that we shouldn't expect to see the Merc with the Mouth in Logan, but reiterated his desire to bring the two together on the big screen. With Hugh Jackman's tenure coming to an end, that's unlikely, but if there's one thing that incorrect report proved to 20th Century Fox, it's that fans are desperate to see it become a reality.
"I want a Deadpool/Wolvie film," the actor replied to one fan, "But Logan is its own unique & perfect thing. The Big Red Shit-Talker wouldn't mix with the tone." That's something we all expected, and it sounds like we can now forget Reynolds' Merc with the Mouth showing up in the movie in any form.
Interestingly, a Tweet from Reynolds featuring a gif of Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka is what really has people talking today as people are wondering if that means we'll see him take on the role in the upcoming prequel featuring the iconic chocolate factory owner. Whether or not that's going to happen remains to be seen, but for now, we can forget about Deadpool showing up in Logan early next year.
