From Disney and director Tim Burton (Batman), Dumbo expands on the beloved story where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight. Now, some new character posters have been revealed highlighting the main cast members.

Among those receiving the spotlight here are Dumbo, a sweet newborn elephant with oversized ears; Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell), a former circus star charged with caring for an elephant who can fly, and Max Medici (Danny DeVito), the owner of a struggling circus who hopes Dumbo will bring in the crowds

We also see V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), an entrepreneur who sets his sights on Medici’s circus and its flying elephant; and Colette Marchant (Eva Green), an accomplished aerialist who’s cast to fly alongside Dumbo in a state-of-the-art amusement park called Dreamland.

As of right now, there seems to be a lot more excitement for Aladdin and The Lion King and it will be interesting seeing whether or not Disney manages to rebound after Christopher Robin didn't perform quite as well as expected last year.

The original always freaked me out as a kid and I feel like this would just dig up those old feelings.

@Evansly - The scene where Dumbo comes back to his mother in the circus ripped my heart out so dang bad I only saw the movie one time. It was like Old Yeller. Never saw that one again, either. And I will not be seeing this movie.

@joshwilding I don’t mean to sound defensive, Josh, but Christopher Robin, while it underperformed, was still a modest success off a global gross of $198M on a $75M budget. I don’t know if it’ll necessarily continue the Winnie the Pooh franchise, unless Disney makes a Winnie the Pooh series set after Christopher Robin on Disney+.

Man...i would really like to see Eva in a Marvel/DC movie.
Selina Kyle, Death, Selene, whatever, better than nothing!

“As of right now, there seems to be a lot more excitement for Aladdin and The Lion King”

That is probably both true and a terrible shame. Aladdin trailers and Genie reveal were colossal misfires and the Lion King is just a Hollow bastardized rip off.

Dumbo for me was the only footage that blended immagation, nostalgia and art to really provoke emotion.

Hopefully audiences respond to the less “action-y” film to give it a shot.

Keaton! Burton! That dashing hair!! So exciting to have them back together. What a suave return for Keaton. Birdman, Spider-Man, and Dumbo for blockbusters alone. And also Penguin!! @mastermix

@bropous - wow. You took that to an unnecessary level. Here I thought we were just having snarky, casual banter...
