Helena Bonham Carter Joins The Cast Of CINDERELLA As The Fairy Godmother
The Lone Ranger and Alice in Wonderland star has signed up to play the Fairy Godmother in Kenneth Branagh (THOR) and Disney's Cinderella.
Cinderella has its titular character (Lily James), a handsome prince (Richard Madden), a wicked stepmother (Cate Blanchett) and two wicked stepsisters (Sophie McShera and Holliday Granger), but The Hollywood Reporter now reveals that the movie has also found its Fairy Godmother! Harry Potter and Les Miserables star Helena Bonham Carter will play the character that the site describes as, "getting more screen time in this version than in Disney’s classic animated movie, with the character disguised as an old beggar who watches over Cinderella before revealing herself as the magical being she truly is." The live-action remake - which is set to be helmed by THOR's Kenneth Branagh - is shaping up to be extremely impressive so far and we will be sure to keep you updated with any further casting announcements. What do you guys think of the cast so far?
