Disney has released the first teaser trailer for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, which will see Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie return as the iconic Sleeping Beauty villain. Check it out after the jump.

Before Angelina Jolie officially joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Sersi is The Eternals, the Academy Award-winning actress will return as Maleficent in Disney's upcoming sequel, Mistress of Evil.

The first teaser trailer has just been released online, and you can check it out below.


Along with Jolie, returning cast members include Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora, Sam Riley as Diaval, Imelda Staunton as Knotgrass, Juno Temple as Thistlewit, and Lesley Manville as Flittle. They'll be joined by new additions Michelle Pfeiffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ed Skrein, Robert Lindsay and Harrison Dickinson.

The original movie received a mixed response from fans and critics, but it was a big hit at the box office, so here we are.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is set to hit theaters on October 18, 2019.

idk. I'm kinda needing a break from Disney...not Marvel but DIsney. Yes I know Disney owns Marvel but Marvel has been around for a looong time and I dont consider their content to be similar.

@Mrsinister - Marvel's content is very similar. Directors have even admitted that Marvel tells them not to worry about certain aspects of the project because Marvel will "handle it."

It's why 95% of MCU films look the same. The Russos and Coogler (who didn't direct most of the action scenes) are among the few that stand out.
