We've now heard countless rumours, theories, and supposed leaks for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but if one thing is clear, it's that the biggest surprises are being saved for the theater. That's not a bad thing, of course, but some new merchandise has just dropped quite the intriguing hint for what may be to come in Sam Raimi's Doctor Strange sequel.
At first glance, this appears to be little more than just the regular Avengers logo we all know so well. However, the description for the t-shirt listed on Amazon reads: "Experience Doctor Stephen Strange in a whole new mind-bending adventure with Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This Avengers t-shirt showcases the Avengers logo for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes that might just be from a whole new multiverse."
In other words, this is the logo for a team of Avengers that hails from another reality. It doesn't offer many clues at first glance, but the red energy does instantly bring Ultron to mind.
This would line up with [SPOILER ALERT] an apparent leaked image pointing to the Sorcerer Supreme ending up on a world where Tony Stark managed to create a "suit of armour" around the world thanks to his Ultron drones. We'll see, but if another team of Earth's Mightiest Heroes is set to appear, it's going to be a lot of fun seeing how they differ from the MCU's Avengers.
This is an officially licensed item, but how accurate that description is remains to be seen. We're sure this hasn't been released by mistake though, and is bound to only increase discussion among fans.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released on May 6.
