As the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness draws near, Marvel Studios has debuted a new featurette spotlighting the return of Elizabeth Olsen's ultra-powerful Scarlet Witch.
The video takes us back to the events of Disney+'s WandaVision, before showing us some new footage of the Scarlet Witch in action. In one of the interview snippets, director Sam Raimi once again makes it clear that we will be meeting multiple Variants of our main characters in the movie, which means the "evil" Wanda that's been heavily teased these past few months is most likely an alternate- reality incarnation of the hero we know and love.
Some seem to feel that's a bit of a cop out after the events of WandaVision, but we won't know for sure how things play out until we sit down to watch the film for ourselves next week.
In Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers.
