Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness recently underwent a series of extensive reshoots to (reportedly) add a number of cameos in the wake of Spider-Man: No Way Home's success.
With that movie grossing over $1.6 billion at the worldwide box office, you can't blame Marvel Studios for looking to capitalise on the obvious popularity of this Multiverse concept and how that can be used to bring familiar faces back from the past. Fans and non-fans alike didn't struggle to wrap their heads around those returning characters in Spidey's latest movie, but whether anyone who didn't watch Loki will be able to grasp the whole "Variants" idea obviously remains to be seen.
Now, America Chavez actress Xochitl Gomez has taken to TikTok to confirm recent reports that she's finished working on Sam Raimi's sequel. The newcomer didn't provide any further context, but is clearly happy to have completed the project after what we're sure was a gruelling production.
"I'm very excited for the movie to come out, and I'm just really excited for people to see my work on screen," the actress said during Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Rings premiere last year. "I mean I really put so much work into it and I'm really, really, so proud of it. And I'm just excited for it to come out. I'm just excited to be here, number one! And I'm such a fan of Marvel in general so being here is just like...I'm just shaking being here and being invited, ah!"
Gomez also shared another fun video of her building the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness LEGO set (which features America in Minifigure form). Clearly, she's excited to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though we recently learned that she nearly debuted in Spider-Man: No Way Home!
