In the midst of a huge shift in Phase 4 release dates, Eternals moved from November 6th, 2020 to February 12th, 2021. It was a big change, but one that was sadly inevitable with Hollywood (and movie theaters) shut down for the foreseeable future thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Now, Black Widow is coming out in November, and we'll have to wait that little bit longer for characters like Sersi, Ikaris, and Black Knight to make their respective big screen debuts.

Eternals star Kumail Nanjiani recently took to social media to share his thoughts on the delay, but used the opportunity to remind fans that they need to remain vigilant during these times.

Shooting on Eternals wrapped in February, but visual effects work is likely unfinished, and it's also possible that reshoots and ADR were supposed to take place over the summer. Now, Marvel Studios hopefully has time to get that all done and ensure this movie is another successful chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's ongoing history.
