Following the release of that stunning first teaser trailer, Marvel Studios has shared a poster for Eternals.
Like that sneak peek, it doesn't reveal very much, but it feels like this is a deliberate attempt to market the movie in a very different way. As you can see, the incredible cast is spotlighted, though their colourful costumes are hidden in shadow as that massive spaceship looms overhead.
A closer look at the credits on the bottom of the poster reveals that Twilight and Yellowstone star Gil Birmingham has joined the cast of the movie. This is the first we're hearing about that, and seeing as he's credited alongside the rest of the leads, we can't help but wonder if he's playing Kro, the leader of the Deviants whose appearance was revealed some time ago thanks to Hasbro.
Harish Patel is also mentioned, though we know he's taken on the role of Kingo's cameraman.
Eternals features an exciting new team of superheroes in the MCU, ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. However, following the events of Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against mankind's most ancient enemy.
The outstanding ensemble cast includes Richard Madden as Ikaris, Gemma Chan Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayak as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as Druig, and Angelina Jolie as Thena. Kit Harrington, meanwhile, will take on the role of Dane Whitman.
