2013 Movies So Far

With summer blockbusters coming out soon, I talk about the smaller, beginning of the year movies I have seen.

So far this year, I have seen 6 movies. I saw Gangster Squad, The Last Stand, Bullet to the Head, Dark Skies, Olympus Has Fallen, and Evil Dead. I am going to put them in order in what is my opinion the worst to the best.

6: DARK SKIES- I have nothing to say about it, I cannot remember a single thing from this boring movie.

5: THE LAST STAND- A comeback movie I had to see, but this movie could have used some better pacing and less bad acting. The star looked like he was in slow motion, but he wasn't. Poor Arnold.

4: BULLET TO THE HEAD- Another comeback movie I had to see. Stallone seemed to have a bit more energy than Arnold, and I found this movie more entertaining. It also moved a little bit faster than The Last Stand.

3: GANGSTER SQUAD- This had an all-star cast with a mediocre script, and frankly, Arnold moved faster than this movie. It has no beginning, no middle, and unfortunately, no end.

2: EVIL DEAD- A horror flick done with good practical effects and no CGI, which was a refreshing thing to see. It was a fun horror film, and one of the better movies I have seen this year.

1: OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN- This film had a pretty neat scenario that at times is pretty realistic. It was grounded and realistic enough to hold your interest, and is definately the best film I have seen this year. A cool action flick that was basically Die Hard in the White House. I enjoyed this film a lot, and would watch it again.

So far this year, I have seen some good movies, and some bad ones. But as 2013 goes on, the movies get cooler and cooler. It seems we are out of the beginning of the year doldrums for movies and are starting to get some really fun, interesting films.

What films have you seen this year? What did you think of them? What movies are you looking forward to this summer? Comment below, and keep in mind, this is only my second article.

Best movie for me this year would have to be Olympus Has Fallen. Evil Dead was a good, fun horror movie. I didn't mind The Last Stand and Bullet to the Head, I thought they were fun action flicks.
