A new choice for the Riddler...

I'd like to nominate a new actor for the role of the Riddler. I believe he can carry his own against the likes of Johnny Depp and Hugh Laurie, just to name a couple of the actors having already been nominated. I give you...

Christopher Heyerdahl. Now, I've seen this guy in quite a few things. But, I never really paid any attention too him. Until tonight. I was watching "Supernatural," and he was playing a demon named Alastair, now usually this guy is played by someone else. So, it threw me off. But, the way this guy talks, and the facial expressions he makes(at least in that episode) make me think he is perfect for the role of the Riddler. The episode is from Season 4, its episode 10. Called "Heaven and Hell" If you want to look it up to see what I mean. Alright Laters.

Can he do a regular voice that is not his voice on Supernatural? Cuz his voice as Alastair really annoyed me. If he can do a regular voice though, then this is a great pick. Very inspired.

My pick for Riddler is still David Tennant all the way.

I for one want a SERIOUS, SMART, COLD, CALCULATING criminal for riddler. Not a scrawny quirky geeky looking guy. Tennant might be a good actor but didn't he play the bad guy in Harry Potter and the goblet of fire??? If so, to me he would be a riddler very similar to that rat guy in Lost. It's just not what i want to see. I want a "Laurey as Dr House/Depp in Once Apon A Time in Mexico" type of criminal. Sarcastically smart. The kinda guy you never know if he's joking or not cause he never smiles. Always talks down to everyone for being inteletually inferior. To me, that's Riddler. I don't care who portrays him really as long as they don't look like rat boy who'd break in half if Bale gave him a "charly horse".

As for your pic josh, he looks the part but i never saw him act. Still waiting for the box set to come out ;)

I'm with Shaman, so much so it's probably illegal in several countries!

Tennant could be good, anyone see him in that drama where he lost his memories? He can be very serious. But I think he maybe too tempted to go quirky. Riddler needs to be dark, almost emotionless and calculating (to quote Shaman), very much like the guy from Saw (only seen the 1st). He wants to prove his intelligence and see how far people will go to prove/better theirs. He treats people like lab rats and sees them as nothing more than that, with the exception of Batman.

I don't really like that idea of a cold, calculating Riddler. I like Riddler as a somewhat quirky, off guy. I would like to see him have some personality. Tennant would bring some of that to the role.

Lee: No I am not kidding you. Tennant is a great actor. What makes him so wrong for the role? Depp? Yeah, real creative Lee. Tennant has even expressed interest in playing the Riddler.

How about the tall guy from The Big Bang Theory. He might be able to pull it of. :D

InTylerWeTrust82@ thumbs up mate, I'd like to see Tennant play the role but then Depp would be a whole different version so I dunno.

Once again Ron, you complete me in more ways than most. The character from SAW is perfect for the image of the riddler i'd prefer. I only saw the first one as well LOL

Tyler- You do know for a fact that Depp would be able to incorporate his own quirkiness and personality into a cold calculating killer without it looking like that crappy 60ies riddler who looked less manly than Julie Newmar. I know where not desputing, just saying LOL :P

Kerosene- I would have loved Rob Lowe to be Riddler IF he ever had done a performance that would make me believe for one second that he had a slight chance to not get his ass handed to him by Julie Newmar... even at her age... if she's still alive... oh yeah, it's ertha kit who died, my bad ;)

Depp doesn't look like the Riddler to me. He doesn't look like a weird little guy who would have an obsession with riddles. Tennant embodies that IMO.

shaman@ you need to watch the third season of the west wing. intelligent, quick witted, confident, plus he still looks the part without being creepy. also i don't see him getting the part, i just think he suits it for the "nolan" look of the film. i also believe that he would play brilliantly across from bale. i think that they have similar styles while still being enough difference between the two of them to build a good positive/negative relationship between the characters.

also, julie newmar is a "BADASS BIIIIATCH"!!! (tell me i'm wrong) in real life she would whoop most of our asses...and i'd like to think that most of us would let her. meeeeow!

Tyler- Actually, if the "weird little guy who would have an obsession with riddles" is what you're going for than yes, Tennant embodies it ;)

KEROSENE- The more you talk about it the more i'm warming up to it actually. Lowe would be brilliant next to Bale. And yes, i'd let Newmar kick my ass, even to this day if she'd let me lick her boot ;)

The Todd from Stargate Atlantis! Hell yea, he is awesome and would be really good as the Riddler. I would also love to see Johnny Depp or (as you said Tyler) David Tennant might be good (now that he is leving Dr Who it would be great to see him in a comic book movie). Ben from Lost would be great too!

I think Jeffrey Donovan from Burn Notice would be a perfect Riddler. If anyone here has seen "Changeling", you'll know that he can play a character who likes to ask questions and talk down to people, but hates to BE questioned, especially on matters of authority. His frustration and tension on some of the scenes with Jolie was palpable.
