In a landslide victory, CBM fans have chosen Crossbones over Baron Von Strucker, Baron Zemo, Master Man and others as the character they would most like to see appear (after Red Skull) in Joe Johnston's The First Avenger: Captain America!

would make the best Captain America villain, after Johann Schmidt/Red Skull, to appear in the live-action movie The First Avenger: Captain America!

I voted for Zemo. Crossbones is a great Cap Villian, but he should be revealed in a later movie. Not Cap movie #1 in future time. I just won't go for it. I'll still pay the money to support the Cap movie. But still. I won't be happy. But that is just me. You all have you opinions and I respect that. I just know this is Cap's one big chance to be awesome. I have been waiting years for this. I hope it doesn't get F'ed away. I was going to say though. In Cap #2 or #3, what about MADCAP for comedy effect? I love that guy.

I thought Master Man would have been good as the physical enemy for Cap, since Red Skull will be the mental enemy.

But, I love Crossbones! If they can use him sparingly, to set up the sequel, then I'm all for it!!!

Master man is a great villian. But he would be good to have if they have a Invaders Cameo, Namor Versus Master Man.

I'm okay with Crossbones appearing. Especially since we don't even know if there will be a Cap sequel. It's likely that The Avengers will be the Cap sequel...

I wanted to say from earlier that if there is a holy war between MARVEL and DC, I will stand in Marvel's ranks.

I saw that someone pointed out in another thread that DC just doesn't do it for them. A mojority of posters said they were Make Mine Marvel. I kept trying to post there, but something is wrong and it is too slow. But here it is.

Avengers Versus JLA series **SPOILER ALERT** When the Avengers gets trapped in the D.C. Universe people are all nice for the most part, Captain America sees that there is a Flash Museum and starts getting P.O.'ed. Then JLA are stuck in my world
(The Marvel universe) and see how much more serious and dire things are here than back in the DCU. I just want to point out what I liked is the fact that even though D.C. does have some dark tones, Marvel still has a more gritty world, more real. But that is my opinion anyway.

@Scorpio: Dude, Cap doesn't have an ego, that's what makes him Cap. He wouldn't care about Flash having a museum. The Avengers Mansion used to be filled with statues and paintings of other heroes...

I agree with Lee on this. If the movie is set in WWII it would be ridiculous to have Crossbones in it. He is not even born yet! Especially if he's supposed to have a relationship with the Red Skull's daughter, Sin. Really, what Crossbones won here was the "Who's a more popular Cap Villain Poll". It's gotta be Zemo, or Master Man (which is who I voted for). You gotta start the Cap movies right or you won't ever get any sequels!

crossbones was always a henchman anyway. i doubt he'll be in this. maybe the sequel. and red skull is more than a mental enemy, he fights too. remember, he's got an imperfect serum too.

Oh yeah! He was the only one on that poll that wasn't some variation on Red Skulls character anyway. When Cap wakes up from his ice bath he is going to need a powerful hand to hand scrap..Crossbones!

Crossbones won't be in it I guarantee you. This movie is going to be completely WW2, with maybe a little scene of Fury finding Cap in the present.

I really like Crossbones and he'd make a great villain - but not in the movie set in WWII!!! His character would be completely out of place in that setting and it just wouldnt work!!! Now, Master Man on the other hand....that would work!!!

Guys there is no way this movie will be set entirely in WW2! Mostly im sure it will, but i guarantee we will get at least 30 mins after he is thawed out of the ice..maybe not enough time for a proper showdown with Crossbones granted, but they could at least introduce the character. There is no way they will end the movie with a modern day Cap just waking up. There would be too much exposition involving him at the beginning of the Avengers movie then.

Right you are @Ror, but I doubt if Cap will be doing a lot of battling of Super-villains in the present time. The big battle will be during WWII, I'm sure, and Zemo would be the fitting Red Skull henchman for then.

'Bones would only fit in the present, save him for the 2nd movie.

Captain America probably has the worst rogue gallery of all the mainstream superheroes. They suck beyond belief. But you could definitely do worse than Crossbones.

I agree with ROR that some of the movie will more than likely be set in the present but how they'll do that i cant quite work out - will they feature The Avengers finding him? Will it be like in The Ultimates where he was found by accident by SHIELD? as Cap is the movie im most looking forward to - its also the one im most worried about! if they do it right it will be EPIC!!!
