I have given more thought into how Dead of Night might be adapted into a film. I feel that all three "tales" would work well with a "Crypt Keeper" style. I feel that Digger should be the narrator for all three stories, though he only narrated Man-Thing.
Now the Dead of Night tale of Werewolf By Night is greatly different than original 1970's version. Jack Russell is a victim of Lycanthropy, his disease first manifested itself on the day before his 18 birthday at a moonlit beach. He woke up the next day in his home, covered in blood and clothes torn; not knowing what had happened that night. He enters his parents bedroom to find them butchered, on the wall was a note carved into the wall that read "They lied to you Jack", he then started to run. Cut to 2009, Jack is now 26, lives in Philly with his pregnant girlfriend, whom doesn't even know his true identity. Jack leaves every month during the full moon, too a escape proof room that Jack refers to as his "prison". Once in, he nor the monster can escape for 48 hours. The beast frequently leaves Jack notes whenever he turns. That is all I am going to spoil from this magnificent story, if you want to know more, READ IT.
Jack Russell
For this role, I chose Scott Speedman. He is probably best known for his role in the "Underworld" series and "The Strangers". He is a very fine actor and could easily pull this role off, he also looks very much like Jack.
Cassandra Price(Jack's pregnant girlfriend)
For this role I chose A.J. Cook. She has starred in the underrated comedy "Out Cold" and plays JJ on Criminal Minds. She is a good actress and can play Jack's worried girlfriend.
Ms. Gorman(Agent for The Babylon Group)
She had a run in with the beast and carries a scar from it. For this role I chose Devon Aoki, who played Miho in the film adaptation of the epic "Sin City"
Dr. Kalbfleisch(Jack's childhood Doctor)
Head Doctor of The Babylon Group which specializes in unique anomalies and diseases. To play the doctor, I chose the great Bill Nighy, he is an excellent actor with many of films under his belt.
Jenny(Jack's long lost sister)
Now this character was tough, she plays a major role in the story but wasn't in it for very long. I felt that whoever I chose had to add both class and sex appeal, and for that reason I chose the fraggin' sexy as hell Carla Gugino.
Monster Cameos
In Dead of Night Featuring Werewolf By Night, Jack, at one point fights what appears to be Frankenstein's Monster and Morbius, the Living Vampire
Frankenstein's Monster
To play such a gigantic creature, I chose John DeSantis, standing at 6ft 9in. He may not be a household name but, he has acted in many of films, such as the fantastic "13th Warrior", also he played Lurch in the short lived "New Addams Family".
Morbius, the Living Vampire
Yet another tough one, for it is not easy to appease the fans. Since it is no more than a cameo, I chose Wes Bentley, who co-starred in "Weirdsville" with Speedman. Now I'm sure I'm going to get some flak for this pick but I feel he has the right look to pull it off.
