To keep it short and sweet, here are my casting choices for Team X. I doubt there will ever be a live action movie that portrays this team truthful to the comics, which is a shame considering how essential these characters and their back stories are to the Marvel Universe.
Logan / WOLVERINE
Ok, I understand that I am possibly only one of six people that didn't like Hugh Jackman as Logan. I truly believe that he is a fan of the character and portrayed the role the best he could. I just don't look at Jackman's Wolverine and see "feral" and "berserker", he's too polished. I want to see an angry, powerhouse loner. Even when he's happy, he doesn't look it. My personal pick would be
DOUGRAY SCOTT
Victor Creed / SABERTOOTH
In my opinion, Liev is a phenomenal Sabertooth. Arrogant, unstable and vicious. My only qualm has to be seeing him with a buzz cut. If Logan can fight in all those wars with muttonchops, Victor could have a longer haircut.
LIEV SCHRIEBER
David North / MAVERICK
David North (or Christoph Nord) is one of my favorite character in the Marvel Universe. He has such a deep, dark history you cannot play him off as just another mercenary. I would like to see this character embodied by
TIL SCHWEIGER
John Wraith / KESTREL
Wraith might not see alot of action, but anyone who's ever been in a hostile situation knows how important your extract man is. Suffering from paranoia, he didn't like using his teleportation abilities when anyone was watching. Also, he was hinted to be Nightcrawer's father, and I personally would liked to have seen that story arc play out. I think we would see a good performance from
MEKHI PHIFER
SILVER FOX
Logan's lover, teammate and future enemy. A native Canadian Blackfoot, she is beautiful and deadly. You need a strong actress to portray a HYDRA cell leader. My choice?
TINSEL KOREY
MASTODON
Though barely mentioned, Mastodon was a member of Team X who died when his age suppressant failed. He is only described as a well-built man who is proficient in firearms. . . I don't know about you, but that leaves ALOT of room for a good screenwriter and actor to substantiate the character. My pick for this role would be
TAHMOH PENIKETT
Wade Wilson / DEADPOOL (Not an actual member of the team, but it's hard to mention Weapon X without throwing him in somewhere)
Ah, Wade. . . Wade, Wade, Wade. Don't disappoint us Ryan, we have high hopes for you.
RYAN REYNOLDS
. . . and finally, every story needs an antagonist:
OMEGA RED
He is known as the ultimate weapon. I don't want to see a messy blur of CGI. Find a tall, muscled actor with a good sneer that doesn't mind a few hours in the make up chair. My choice is Russian actor, author and former bodybuilder
ALEXANDER NEVSKY
