Dr. Robert Bruce Banner was born to Dr. Brian Banner and his wife Rebecca. Rebecca loved Bruce very much, but her drunken husband Brian was jealous of the attention she gave to their son. Brian also thought that Bruce was not truly human due to genetic modifications Brian had made to himself. One day Brian killed his wife and was placed in a mental institution. Bruce would grow up hiding all his pain and live with his aunt Mrs. Drake. Dr. Robert Bruce Banner grew up to be a brilliant scientist and started working for the U.S. Department of Defense, in charge of an experimental "gamma-bomb."But on the day the gamma-bomb was due to undergo its test-detonation, a teenager named Rick Jones, on a dare from some friends, drove inside of the off-limits military-run atomic testing range where the gamma-bomb was being tested, seconds before it was due to be detonated. The scientist/physicist Bruce Banner selflessly endangered himself to save Jones's life after he saw that Jones's jeep had wandered onto the grounds. Before heading out to rescue Jones from the bombardment, Banner told his colleague, whom he knew as Igor Starsky, to hold the test, but Starsky, actually a Soviet agent whose real name was Igor Drenkov, did no such thing. Instead, hoping for Banner's death, and the end of his project, Drenkov/Starsky allowed the test to continue. Dr. Banner then dashed to Jones and sped with him towards a nearby trench. Frantically, Dr. Banner hurled Jones into the crevice where the teenager was shielded from the mysterious, menacing gamma radiation. But at that very second, standing in the open, exposed and unprotected, Banner absorbed the full impact of the gamma-radiation bombardment from the explosion, even though he was a good five miles away from "ground zero," the center of the blast. His ear-piercing screams filled the desert air, as he lost all sense of time and space. A strange, awesome mutation took place in the atomic structure of his body.
Dr. Banner regained consciousness at the base hospital, with Jones standing by his side. Jones swore never to leave Dr. Banner again. But what no one realized at the time was that the gamma radiation bombardment that he had weathered during the rescue had interacted with his own unique genetic structure, leading to the birth of the creature whom the United States Army was first to call "The Incredible HULK." As the sun set, the Geiger counter on a nearby table began to tick louder and louder until Bruce Banner had transformed into the most dangerous living creature on Earth.

Thanks, comicvine, for the information.

Matthew Gray Gubler as Bruce Banner/Hulk

After Dr. Robert Bruce Banner was accidentally bombarded with gamma radiation in an experimental "gamma-bomb" test, he was transformed into a man-monster called "The Incredible HULK." The Hulk and Bruce Banner later became two separate individuals.

My fisrt candidates for role were Brendan Hines,Colin Hanks,Sharlto Copley and David Tennant, but when I saw cast of American “Dr.Who”, I understood that Gubler is the best for this role, and he is much more better than Mark Ruffalo.

Lou Ferrigno as Savage Hulk (voice)

The Incredible Hulk is an amazingly powerful creature, who despite his monstrous appearance and unlimited rage actually is misunderstood and seeks peace and quiet, away from the noise of the modern world. The Hulk is one of the most powerful beings in existence and is the dark inner rage of Banner manifested in a primal physical way.

There is none else who can replace this guy, he is born for this role.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Grey Hulk (voice)

The Grey Hulk is the second Hulk personality to manifest itself from Banner’s mind. Unlike the original Green Hulk, Grey is rather intelligent and capable of more than basic speech. He is in fact very cunning and arrogant, although technically still on the side of good he tends to dabble a bit on the wrong side of the tracks. Despite being less powerful than his green other, he is far more ruthless and vicious when fighting. He also created a persona for himself, a Vegas-style tough guy known as Joe Fixit.

This guy has enough deep and strong voice for grey Hulk, and I think that role of Ben Grim/Thing is not for him,he will do a great step in Hulk’s film too.

Michele Monaghan as Betty Ross

The love of Bruce Banner's life, she has been one of the Hulk's greatest allies, though she is the daughter of his greatest enemy, General 'Thunderbolt' Ross. She has been transformed into the Harpy, died, and is now a Hulk herself. What's next in her life remains to be seen…

I don’t see anyone else .She is great and talented actress, role will suit her.

Stephan Lang as Generl Thunderbolt

General Ross worked in the US Air Force where he was in charge of a Gamma bomb project run by Bruce Banner. Ross's daughter, Betty Ross, grew to love Bruce no matter what, but still, her father wasn't interested with her flirting with a scientist, whom he had no respect for. As Dr. Banner was transformed into the Hulk, General Ross spent many years trying to capture the Green Goliath, despite committing treason and allying himself with the Hulk's enemies, The Leader, M.O.D.O.K., and Emil Blonsky A.K.A. the Abomination.

Stephan Lang has all statistics for this role.He has playes similar role in Avatar.

Shane West as Glenn Talbot

Glenn Talbot was a major in the U.S. Air Force who hunted the Hulk with Gen. Ross. He later married Betty Ross, but they divorced. He later became a Colonel. He recently resurfaced in the Fall of the Hulks storyline.

Shane West is enough talented and solid actor for this role.Glenn Talbot must have serious look, that’s why I have chosen him for role.

Chace Crawford as Rick Jones

As a teenager, Rick Jones knew no fear. When he was dared to sneak onto a military testing facility, he didn't give it a second thought. What he and his friends did not know was the facility was a test center for an experimental Gamma bomb. When scientist Bruce Banner noticed Rick sneaking on, he raced out to save him seconds before the bomb was to detonate. Time only allowed for Banner to push Rick into the safety of a trench as the explosion irradiated his shocked body. Thus the incredible Hulk was born. Rick Jones swore never to leave Dr. Banner again.

Like in previous fan casts Chace Crawford still remains as Rick Jones.

Stana Katic as She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters

After being shot by some mobsters, her cousin, Bruce Banner (a.k.a. The Incredible Hulk), saved her life by giving her a last minute blood transfusion of his own irradiated blood. From that point on Jennifer Walters was able to transform into the Sensational She-Hulk.

This actress will perform this role like none.I like her acting in series of “Castle” and must say that all what she need is CGI changes for her body, after this she will turn into hot green She-Hulk.

Matthew Macfayden as Leonard Samson/Dr.Samson

Doctor Leonard Samson is the gamma-irradiated friend and psychiatrist of Bruce Banner. He possesses vast superhuman strength on par with a relatively calm Hulk, virtually limitless endurance and an extremely high degree of durability.

This guy is talented and fine actor,he will suit as Doc Samson.

Denise Quaid as Nick Fury

Nicholas Joseph Fury served in World War II as leader of the Howling Commandos. He's served as an agent of as well as director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Nick Fury is one of the greatest strategic minds in the Marvel Universe, a master of espionage, and a born leader.

Quaid is great actor and he will look great as Nick Fury.

Josh Duhamel as Clay Quartermain

Clay Quartermain is a high-ranking agent of the espionage agency S.H.I.E.L.D. Clay works closely with the director of S.H.I.E.L.D, Nick Fury. Quartermain becomes a part of the U.S. military's "Hulkbusters" operation, which attempts to capture and contain the Hulk.

I liked his acting in “Transformers 4”,so I think that this role is special for him

Jude Law as Samuel Sterns/Leader

Samuel Sterns was a worker in a chemical plant in a menial capacity until an accident working with radioactive material bombarded him with gamma radiation, turning his skin green and making his head grow, filling it with extreme knowledge. He became the one who men call The Leader.

You know this is a special choice, because Jude Law has all rights for this role.Leader is crazy, ambitious genius which need similar actor and this is Jude Law, and I want Tim Blake Nelson to leave Hulk project, because he is the worstl actor for this role.

Peter Dinklage as Yuri Tropolev/Gargoyle

Yuri Topolov, was a Soviet scientist and the first foe of the Hulk. An atomic accident caused by working with radiation mutated him into a grotesque, large-headed dwarf of extremely high intelligence. He was informed of the Hulk by an imprisoned spy using a miniature transmitter, and succeeded in capturing him and Rick Jones using a gun that fired will-weakening pellets. Bruce Banner managed to cure him using Gamma rays. He gratefully used his rocket to send Banner and Jones back to the United States and managed to destroy several Soviet generals and 'die like a man' in an explosion he set off.[1] However, he passed this deformity on to his son, the Gremlin.

He has played similar role in film “Underdog”.so that’s why I have chosen him as Gargoyle.

Neil Jackson as Emil Blonsky/Abomination

Created by a freak accident, an ordinary enemy spy had been transformed into the all-powerful Abomination; and, because he received a heavier dose of radiation than Bruce Banner himself, the monster had the strength to actually defeat the Incredible Hulk in a stand-up fight.

This actor is special for this role.In film “Push” Neil Jackson has played role of agent which I think was a bit similar to character of Emil Blonsky.Neil Jackson is a brilliant choice for Abomination, and is better than Tim Roth.

Kevin Mckidd as Phillip Sterns/Madman

Phil Sterns- physician, scientist, and brother to Samuel Sterns, AKA the Leader. He is searching for a way to tap into the hidden strengths that all Hulks have.

If you have seen film “Grey’s Anatomy” you will understand why I have chosen Mckidd as Madman.

Christoph Waltz as Brian Banner

Brian Banner is an alcoholic who married his college sweetheart: Rebecca Banner, and had a son named Bruce.Brian is known to have a violent past. He and his mother were physically and emotionally abused by his father. He believed he inherited a "monster gene" from his father, as he later passes the "gene" to Bruce. For years, Brian hated both his son and wife because of the fact that Rebecca had showed more love to Bruce as he was a baby. Though he believed he promised never to have children despite the fact he accidentally impregnated Rebecca. Thus, she gives birth to Bruce. When Bruce reached his middle childhood, Brian went insane and killed Rebecca. Knowing Bruce had seen him do it. Brian warned his son strictly that if they went to court, he must lie in order to get out of this situation. Bruce is threatened that if he tells the truth, he would go to Hell. When the father-son duo visit court Bruce did what his father told him to do so Brian could slip out. It wasn't long before police officers had Bruce tell the truth.Soon enough, Brian is sent to a mental institution as he lashes out at his son in fury thanks to Bruce telling the truth.Brian later returns to visit Bruce after spending 15 years in the institution, but he isn't aware that his son became the rampaging monster known as the Hulk. However, the visit becomes short-lived as Bruce engages in a fight with his father in a cemetery.Bruce knocks Brian out, causing him to fall on the tombstone of the recently-deceased Rebecca Banner and the force of the tombstone cracks his head open, killing him instantly.Sometime later, Bruce's alter ego, the Hulk, is haunted by the ghost of Brian who is currently a member of the population of people gone to Hell. However, when Bruce visits Hell, he had enough of his father haunting him and the Hulk. So he stands up to his father by beating him up before getting back to the normal world.
Much later, Bruce reveals that he could have easily avoided killing his father with the blow that knocked him toward the tombstone, but didn't. During The Chaos War, Brian came back from the dead as a servant of The Chaos King, who had given him the power to transform into The Guilt Hulk at will, and captured both his ressurrected wife Rebecca and their son's gamma-irradiated alter ego, The Hulk.

I think that Christoph Waltz suits as father for Matthew Gray Gubler, and it will be interesting to see him in reboot of Hulk films

Donald Sutherland as Professor Geoffrey Crawford/Ravage

Dr. Geoffrey Crawford was a physics professor at Desert State University who took undergraduate Bruce Banner under his wing and became his mentor. Years later, Banner went to his teacher for aid in finding a cure for the Hulk. At this time Crawford was a sick man, but he was nevertheless able to create a machine that could be used to filter the gamma radiation from Bruce's body. Crawford also saw this as a way to cure himself; by obtaining some of the Hulk's DNA, he knew he would be able to use the Hulk's recuperative powers on himself. First Crawford reconfigured his own DNA so that it was a match with Banner's. This turned him into a stronger beast than the Hulk: the monster called Ravage.
Ravage is stronger than the Hulk and is slightly larger. The key element which makes Ravage such a dangerous enemy is that he still has Dr. Crawford's mind and a lust for power. Just after his first transformation, Ravage attacks Hulk, but he soon returns to being Crawford by sunrise. Crawford turns Banner over to General Ross for fear of being stopped from becoming Ravage again. Crawford adjusts his machine so that it will change him into Ravage permanently. He then as Ravage attacks the university and terrorizes those who had pitied him as Dr. Crawford. Ravage is only stopped when the Hulk and General Ross formed an unlikely alliance that allows the army to trap the villain in a state of suspended animation.

Donald Sutherland is brilliant actor and I think that could be amazing by his acting skills

James Callis as Calvin Zabo/Mr Hyde

Calvin Zabo was born in Trenton, New Jersey. He was a morally abject but brilliant medical research scientist who was fascinated by the effect of hormones on human physiology. One of his favourite stories was Stevenson's 1886 classic, Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. He was convinced that the experiment in the story could actually be performed and became obsessed with the idea of unleashing his full bestial nature in a superhuman form. However, he needed money to do this so he robbed his various employers systematically. Though too intelligent to be caught, the medical community was suspicious of his tendency to always be employed by organizations which were subsequently robbed.
He sought work as a surgeon in a hospital where Donald Blake was a directing physician, yet Blake would not allow him a job due to his history. Zabo was enraged that Blake would not give him the position (even though he did indeed intend to rob the organization) and swore revenge. He was eventually successful in creating his formula, and turned into a huge, Hulk-like creature he called "Mister Hyde", named after the character in the novel. In this new form, he found he had superhuman strength enabling him to crush cars and tear through steel as though it were made of cardboard.

This actor has similar look to Dr.Zabo,so he is brilliant choice for Mr.Hyde.

Hemry Ian Cusick as Alexandr Wildman/Wildman

Very little is known about Alex Wildman. At some point, he began hearing many voices in his head demanding the Hulk's death. Desperate to shut off the voices, Alex joined two young women, Meg and Stacy, in driving to New York to see the aftermath of Onslaught's battle with numerous superheroes, including the Hulk. Along the way, Wildman tried to talk to the Hulk's wife, Betty Banner, about the voices but she brushed him off. The voices started in Alex's head, sending him into frenzy. He attacked a group of soldiers, ranting the entire time. As more soldiers surrounded him, Alex was struck by lightning, rendering him unconscious. Sent to an asylum; Alex, apparently empowered by the lightning strike, escaped and made his way to Los Angeles, where he tracked down the Hulk and Janis Jones in a theme park. Wild Man attacked the Hulk, using various super-powers to counter the brute's strength. Enraged, the Hulk slammed Wild Man into the ground before being transported away by Dr. Strange. When Wild Man recovered, he found that his powers and the voices were gone. Wildman’s current whereabouts are unrevealed.

I liked his actin gin TV series "Lost",this role is special for him.

Randy Couture as Carl Creel/Absorbing man

Carl Creel was a boxer who even fought Battlin' Jack Murdock, and later became an extortionist who was serving time for assault. While in prison, Creel drank a potion that was made by Loki, and imbued with the powers of matter absorption in order to battle Loki's enemies, Thor and Odin.

There is no words about this choice.

Kevin J’Oconnor as Antony Masterson/Half-life

Anthony Masterson was just a normal English schoolteacher who was accidentally exposed to gamma radiation during testing of Gamma Bombs by the US government. The radiation appeared to kill Tony, but he arose every night hungry for the energy he could drain from living bodies. His abilities make him extremely troublesome for the Hulk, as despite all of the Hulk’s strength he cannot lay a finger on Half-Life without risking death.

In film “Van Helsing” J’Oconnor had played similar role ,so he is real half-life.

Ed Harris as General Ryker

John Ryker joined the military at a young age and wanted to help determine future history from his shadows. One of his most prominent actions was manipulating the creation of the conspiracy around the assassination of John F. Kennedy; apparently Kennedy was really killed by two Corsican mercenaries, but at the time it was deemed too expensive to wage World War Three so the idea of a conspiracy was created. When his wife Lucy developed cancer, Ryker used the military to hunt down Bruce Banner, who turned into the Hulk after exposure from gamma radiation during a nuclear test that Ryker supervised. Initially, Ryker irradiated various subjects to try and duplicate the accident that created the Hulk, thus allowing him to isolate the Hulk's ability to cope with the radiation and use it to heal his wife. His closest success was Private Benjamin Tibbits, who mutated into the Hulk-like Flux, but his transformation was imperfect, leading to Ryker simply breaking him to use as a near-mindless soldier against the Hulk.
However, his brutal treatment of the Hulk, having finally captured the Green Goliath, not only broke down the mental barriers keeping the Hulk's other personalities from taking control away from the known three dominant Hulks- the 'escaped' Hulks including the Devil Hulk-, but also convinced General Thunderbolt Ross to turn against Ryker and free his long-time enemy. Taking Lucy Ryker hostage, Ross told her the truth, prompting Ryker to depart as she coldly told him that she didn't ask to be healed at the cost of innocent people.

Ed Harris has played roles of generals and I think that this is for him.

Logan Marshall Gree as Benjamin Tibetts/Flux

Seeking to fight in the GulfWar, Benjamin Tibbetts joined the US army. Benjamin was caught in the blast of a gamma radiation bomb dropped by General Ryker's Black Ops. Similar to Bruce Banner, he was forever changed by the radiation. Because of self doubt, the gamma-abilities did not become a permanent catalyst. Due to this his body constantly transformed. Tricked by General Ryker, Flux fought the Hulk but inevitably lost.
Hulk said to Flux Ryker was the responsable for this, seeking revenge Flux returns to kill Ryker, however he is captured and tortured both physicaly and mentaly.
The torture made Flux mind regress, giving him the mind of a 5 year old kid.Ryker made Flux believe he was his mother and fights doc Samson and eventualy the Hulk, but stoped fighting when Ryker got distracted and stoped giving him orders, making him revert to the human form and falls on the ground as he wept for his mother.

This guy will suit as Flux.

Joe Manganiello as Brian Talbot/Grey

Grey is a member of the Gamma Corps. Brian Talbot is the younger brother of Glenn Talbot, the brother that he despised for being harsh to him and making him work out physically. Upon learning of his brothers death, he joined General Ryker's Gamma Corps team to take out the Hulk. He was given Hulk's strength along with the Leader's mind through being injected with their DNA, he also knows 17 different forms of unarmed combat.

Manganiello has similar characteristics that’s why I have given him this role.

Olivier Martinez as Louis Lambert/Hotshot

Hotshot was one of Leader's gamma radiated servants. Before his transformation his name was Louis and he lived in Middletown, Arizona. He was planning to run away from home with his girlfriend, Jessie, because her parents didn't want them seeing each other. But that night that Leader blew up the town.
In an attempt to gain more test subjects for his experiments, Leader detonated a controlled gamma bomb in a Middletown which killed over 5000 people. The blast created five new superhuman enforcers whom Leader used to build the hidden society called Freehold in the Arctic. Hotshot has fought the Hulk on a few occasions with the other survivors of Middletown. He later left the Leader to piece his life back together with Jessie.

Martinez is great actor for this role. His style is villainous so he will look great in Hulk films

Barry Pepper as Walter Langkowski/Sasquatch

A long-time member of Alpha Flight, he gained his powers while trying to duplicate the conditions that created the Hulk.

This actor is a brilliant choice for this role.

Jessica Biel as Jessie Harrison/Jailbait

Jailbait was one of Leader's gamma radiated servants. Before her transformation her real name was Jessie Harrison and she lived in Middletown, Arizona. She was planning to run away from home with her boyfriend, Lou, the night that Leader blew up the town.

Johny Lee Miller as Zzzax

Zzzax is an electromagnetic intelligence that was created when stray bullets from terrorists trying to cut power to new York city caused an explosion that started a chain reaction in the atomic reactor at a nuclear power plant.

In 90’s cartoon Incredible Hulk I saw villain which looked like Zzzax, but he was a doctor which got in electronic accident and became eletonical monster. He looked like Johny Lee Miller.

Rudy Youngblood as Paul Cartier/Wendigo

Mythological hulking beast that roams the Canadian wilderness, attacking and ingesting those unlucky enough to cross it's path.

Chiwetel Ejiofor as Samuel J.Laroquette

Samuel LaRoquette is recruited by Bruce Banner to be part of Project Hulkbuster. He would eventually be captured by the Leader and transformed into the deadly, elemental being known as the Rock.

Rodrigo Santoro as Simon Utrecht/Vector

Simon Utrecht was a millionaire, public official, and industrialist before gaining his powers. He organized a team to duplicate the original rocket flight that led to the powers of the Fantastic Four, by piloting a ship through a cosmic ray belt. He promised each member of the team super powers due to exposure (although intentional, not accidental) to cosmic radiation. During this launch, Dr. Bruce Banner (known as the Hulk) was on hand at the base, and believing the ship to be having problems, guided it back to Earth. The now-changed humans became professional criminals and called themselves the U-Foes (possible in connection with Utrecht's last name) and blamed Banner for cutting short their radiation exposure.

Santoro is great actor and he will suit as multimillionaire Simon Utrecht.

Malin Akerman as Ann Darnell/Vapor

Ann Darnell was a life support specialist before gaining her powers. With her teammates, she attempted to duplicate the original rocket flight of the Fantastic Four through a cosmic ray belt, and gained superhuman powers just as the Fantastic Four did.

I like her actin in Watchmen and I think she will be great as Vapor.

Jamiel Bell as James Darnell/X-ray

Jimmy Darnell was a propulsion fuel scientist who was part of a team organized by Simon Utrecht a millionaire, public official, and industrialist who wanted to simulate the crash that led to the powers of the Fantastic Four. Utrecht promised each member of the team super powers due to exposure (although intentional, not accidental) to cosmic radiation. Dr. Bruce Banner (known as the Hulk) who was on hand at the base during the launch, believed the ship to be having problems, and guided it back to Earth. The radiation had changed them into super humans, and so they dubbed themselves the U-Foes, blaming Banner for cutting short their radiation exposure they swear vengeance on him while also pursuing new criminal careers.

This guy is special chosen for this role.

Geoff Stults as Michael Steel/Ironclad

Mike Steel was an engineer, scientist, and pilot before gaining his superhuman powers. With his teammates, he attempted to duplicate the original rocket flight of the Fantastic Four through a cosmic ray belt, and gained superhuman powers just as the Fantastic Four did. Ironclad is the dark mirror image of the Thing, and is able to hold his own against the Incredible Hulk.

Geoff Stults is big and suitable guy for Michael Steel,so he will go as Ironclad.

I hope you liked fan-cast.I’m waiting your comments.

Very thorough and well done. The only one I would have a second thought about is Dennis Quaid for Nick Fury. I don't know if he could pull it off. He might, but I'm not sure.

Great Job!

Matthew Gray Gubbler is the only guy I could see playing Bruce Banner other than Mark Ruffallo and Edward Norton.

I'll have to agree with Supersayianfan1 here, Sharlto Copley would be amazing as banner, As would Guy Pierce,

I think your choice for Brian Banner/Christoph Waltz should be the leader, and that Barry Pepper would be better suited as Abomination...just saying.

Otherwise

I LOVE your choice for Betty, she was my choice for her aside from Zooey Deschanel.

Your thunderbolt Ross was spot on!

As was your choice for Classic Nick Fury, he was my choice back in the day as well

- I'm not sure about Grubler, because I think Bruce Banner should at least be handsome and not scrawny and gawky-looking.
- I'm not sure if I'd pick Stana Katic for She-Hulk. Remember, She-Hulk is the Deadpool of women's lib.
- Shane seems to young-looking for Glenn Talbot. Go somewhere up to late 30's-early 40's.
- I've actually seen Chace Crawford pop up as Rick Jones in SUP3R's Avengers/Hulk fancasts. It could work, maybe.
- I actually enjoyed Tim Blake Nelson's take on Samuel Sterns. It'd be interesting to see where he'll take the Leader in the next Hulk film if it happens. Jude Law's perfect if they want a more serious Leader.
- Olivier Martinez and Rodrigo Santoro... not sure if they'd fit, because the roles you given them are American-born.

This is actually a good cast. I don't know much about the characters in the Hulk universe, but for what it's worth, you made some great casting choices.

If you want, come check out my fancasts.

Wow, that is an awesome Banner pick! I wish i would've thought of it! I've said on quite a few fancasts and comments that i am a huge Criminal Minds fan, and Gubler would be amazing as Banner! Who knows, maybe he could even top Norton?! Great choice!

I really like your Betty and Abomination picks. Gubler as Banner is pretty inspired and I really like it. I wouldn't mind seeing this on the big screen. One of the more original fan casts I've seen!

I like this cast, but I like Ruffalo as Bruce Banner and Hulk, however this is your casting and your pick is good. If Marvel decided to go a younger actor for Hulk, I like Stephan Lang for General Ross, Michelle Monaghan is a good choice for Betty Ross, Chace Crawford is a fan favorite for Rick Jones.
Stana Katic is a good choice for She-Hulk, she is good on Castle and did a good job as Talia on Arkham City.
Good cast, 789.
