Ahhh DC Comics Entertainment. Your Batman movies are beyond excellent. And that's about it so far. I believe Man of Steel will be a hit and the Superman movie we fans deserve. With that being said, the heavyweights are all DC has going for them right now. Green Lantern was disappointing to say the least and The Flash/Wonder Woman movies have no momentum going forward. The big shots at DC are seeing the JLA movie as their savior for the future.
Now onto the Fan Cast
Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman
He is the perfect choice to bring Kal-El to life. DC couldn't have done better.
Wes Bentley as Bruce Wayne/The Batman
I know what you're thinking, "Blackheart from that awful Ghost Rider movie?", but hear me out. Bentley is a talented actor with the same height and similar build to Christian Bale. He has the Batman look and could bring something to the character that hasn't been seen since Michael Keaton donned the cape and cowl.
Yvonne Strahovski as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman
Good actress, great body, she even looks good with black hair. Well, she looks good in anything.
Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan
Sure the movie was bad, but that wasn't his fault. I thought he was the ideal choice for Hal and he brings star power to an otherwise unknown line-up.
Zachary Levi as Barry Allen/The Flash
Levi is an original choice that I haven't seen anywhere else but my own Flash cast I made awhile back. He has that likable feel about him that Barry so desperately needs. I previously had Cooper but changed my mind when I remembered I had Levi picked way back in 2010.
Idris Elba as J'onn J'onzz/Martian Manhunter
Martian Manhunter is interesting character to cast. There are a ton of GOOD candidates to choose from, but no GREAT ones stick out. When I thought of Elba, it made too much sense. He's a fan of comic books, as evident by his enthusiasm of working on Thor and Ghost Rider 2. If someone is excited about playing in Ghost Rider 2 then he must really love the business. He has that token MM voice and can even put on make-up because of his large frame.
Alexander Skarsgard as Aquaman
Skarsgard was a no-brainer for me. He is an exceptional actor and really looks the part. His frame resembles that of a large swimmer and his height really makes him look like a king.
DISCLAIMER: I want Skarsgard to be taller than the rest. It gives him a royal feel that he desperately needs in able to escape the Super Friends stereotype.
As for the villains and supporting characters, they deserve their own article which you should expect to see later this week.
