My thoughts on the design:
I always envisioned Batman as the perfect man – the true “Super” man. He is what we all could be, if we dedicated ourselves to become the perfect specimen of a human being. His wits and physical prowess is in its zenith.

This is what I’m hoping to convey with this design. (I have to admit this design I have is actually moot, because I love what they did with the Dark Knight in Nolanverse, but I still want to share. And I have to say that I made this a year before Batman Begins.) Batman is a Ninja/Samurai. He knows how to hide in the shadows, and he knows how to project fear against his opponent. He also is a Hi-tech Swat Guy, everything he has is tactical, it has a purpose. He is more of a boy scout than Superman, because he is always prepared.

A lot of my design is actually similar in concept with the batsuit in the Bale movies, so I’m just happy that a lot of us shares the same vision of what Batman would look like in the real world. The difference with my design, than with the recent movies is the cape. I did want Batman to glide so I conceived that his cape would have some frames(much like a glider), this stiffens or locks up when in flight but relaxed when grounded. (That’s the best idea I had then, but when the Batman Begins movie came, they solved this with a memory fabric – Smart! This Hollywood guys).

This is great! It looks like a battle-suit that someone
could actually fight in! And it does look more simply badass than the Dark Knight suit! More usable in the real
real world.
