I'm a big fan of the way that the after credits scenes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies have effected the overall structure of the universe and paved the way for different characters and properties. This being my very first article, I decided to give you guys a rough outline of an idea I had for an after credits scene that could connect Captain America: Civil War and the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, due for release on May 5, 2017! I'll start by giving you a rough idea of the scene, and finish off by explaining how it connect both cosmic and Avengers areas of the MCU:
Bruce Banner is shown walking through Knowhere. He's been here since his S.H.I.E.L.D stealth jet crashlanded a year prior. The humans and aliens around him regognize him as the green goliath that has been spotted through the area, scaring the citizens away as he walks past them.
He enters a bar, walking up to the table, he's about to order a drink when the alien bartender regonizes him and leaves quickly. Bruce understands the people's fear of him and doesn't react most of the time due to him being used to it. As he sits at the bar, you can hear music and shouting from an out of view table.Bruce appears annoyed and turns to the table and says:
Bruce Banner: "Can you keep it down over there?"
"Hooked on a Feeling" by: Blue Swede starts to play as the camera quickly cuts to the table, where the Guardians of the Galaxy are seen playing the same game Rocket and Drax were betting on in the first Guardians movie.
There you have it, that's my idea for a potential after-credits scene in Captain America: Civil War. The scene connects the Guardians of the Galaxy to one of Marvel's most popular Avengers, and sets up the second Guardians of the Galaxy movie with Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk in a supporting role.
Thoughts on the scene? What would your guys' potential teasers for the rest of Phase 3 be?
