Modines character Nixon, A corrupt politician. Real name: Roman Sionis.
Roman Sionis killed his parents, inherited the family fortune, and faked his death to avoide suspicion. Years later he returns as a wealthy politician dealing with internal state issues. His second job, lord of the underworld. Ties to Bane? Could be business, could be enemies.

Batman is definitley severley injured by Bane. The theme for The dark knight rises IS infact to rise against all odds and to conquer. Sionis is exposed by Batman and he overcomes physical boundaries. Gordon eventually comes out on the Dent murders helping to fully clear batmans name.

Tate is definitley Talia. We all see it coming, why would ra's be included(aside from a bane origin) and joey king cast as a little girl.

Its almost certain this movie will have more obvious twists than we see. Nolan won't come straight out because he doesn't want to please us just yet.

Catwoman will definitley be an anti-hero. A menace, a friend, and a love affair.

Tate knows who batman is. Bruce wayne. So she establishes herself as an employee at wayne enterprises to gain the trust of the company and access to the building with underlying plans of gothams demise. To finish her fathers work and cripple the man who killer her father. She's conflicted with her plans and her admiration of batman and his will to keep fighting, especially when he rises against his injuries...

Maybe levitts character will be an enemy turned friend to batman near the exposure of sionis. Batman aids him in the exposure, he can't do it himself because noone trusts him anymore.

The first time batman and blake meet, they are seperated from the sat and batman beats him up while simultaniously trying to explain they're are the same. Inspired with a cause.

how do we know the little girl isn't playing Barbra Gordon insted?
CrimeAlley
CrimeAlley - 6/1/2011, 5:42 PM
True. I don't think she'll be included. Maybe even a young selina kyle for a flashback. Barbara gordon? There really isn't a need for a 10 year old barbara gordon. I mean if he wants to give us a sidekick easter egg I'm sure it would be a reference to the circus being in town.
CrimeAlley
CrimeAlley - 6/1/2011, 5:51 PM
I mean imo I would be alittle disappointed if barbara gordon was included at all. I guess it makes sense if his daughter is a smart little girl he can confide in. I can see that working. Who knows?
BobGarlen
BobGarlen - 6/1/2011, 5:57 PM
@Tales they Had Gordon's Son in the Dark Knight, why not have his Daughter? Bane could use them to get the Batman. Hell it's just a character. makes more sense then her playing young Talia, Miranda Tate is Miranda Tate she won't be Talia Im a 100% sure. Cause that's Not Nolan
CrimeAlley
CrimeAlley - 6/1/2011, 6:08 PM
I actually think it IS nolan. His daughter was in the first one too. And why put such an ephesis on ra's flash backs? Just for a bane origin without talia?if there's a young ra's then there could be a young talia. Plus ra's mentioned in batman begins. "I had a wife once. She was taken from me". It would be pretty redundant if bane kidnapped gordons kids. That happened already in the dark knight. It ISN'T nolan to do the same thing twice.
CrimeAlley
CrimeAlley - 6/1/2011, 6:09 PM
I call young talia, young selina, or the street smart girls younger sister.
CrimeAlley
CrimeAlley - 6/1/2011, 6:13 PM
its would be pretty damn epic if tate was revealed as talia near the conclusion and this whole time she was gaining bruce' trust to infultrate wayne enterprises to set it up for demise. She encourages him to focus on helping people like his parents did to keep BRUCE occupied. Blinding him with her kindness and generousity. I honestly don't think selina and bruce will ever meet. Only batman and catwoman. They're from totally different worlds in which the source material is based on imo.

I call Barbara Gordon, Nolan doesn't need to introduce another twist, it Isn't Nolan to do another twist where a character is someone else, He already did it with Ducard. Plus Bane is smart enough and worthy of being a Central Villain he doesn't need to be 2nd fiddle to Talia. Plus Ra's mentioned Wife not a damn word about a Daughter so who's to say she even exist in this universe?
CrimeAlley
CrimeAlley - 6/1/2011, 6:28 PM
It makes sense. Ras al guhl used a decoy to hide himself. If his daughter trained under him then she learned his tactics. Plus IF THEY ARE GOING INTO A LEAGUE OF SHADOWS CONNECTION THEN WHY NOT TAHLIA? The story is being "tied to the first". Yeah he didn't mention a daughter. Maybe he didn't mention her because they had a falling out? Thus she's not in begins. There's legit reasons for talia to appear. Not so much barbara.

Ra's and Bane shouldn't have a history together without talia being included. Ra's has a daughter. Not another father son connection like bale and neeson had.

If the league of shadows is gonna play a part, so is talia. Plus pence and king were spotted on a set together in india.

Wait, so Nixon is actually Black Mask???
CrimeAlley
CrimeAlley - 6/1/2011, 6:41 PM
No nixon as black mask is just a theory
CrimeAlley
CrimeAlley - 6/1/2011, 6:43 PM
Tate and nixon being exposed for what they really are(talia and black mask) mirrors batman being exposed for what he is(the good guy). The dark knight rises
BobGarlen
BobGarlen - 6/1/2011, 6:45 PM
unless you can get the script and prove it im having my doubts Talia is useless and Nixon could just be the guy running for D.A. this Term.
CrimeAlley
CrimeAlley - 6/1/2011, 6:47 PM
Well he is infact a villain and a corrupt politician. Everything is theory buddy. Let's drop the talia gordon thing because we won't know until it comes out. I'm sure we're in for a big suprise not yet announced though.

Talia isn't usless if she is tate. Read everything I wrote about her character up top and in the comments. It would make sense if her and bane were trying to destroy batman and gotham. "Tying to the first movie" like nolan said

if it is true the double identities of characters i want Levitt to be a villain masquerading as a cop in Gordon's unit. he is way too good of an actor for a seemingly nothing role.
CrimeAlley
CrimeAlley - 6/1/2011, 7:01 PM
Yeah true on levitt. I don't think he'll be a fan favorite or anything. Just a cop who's obsessed with killing batman. He could be trouble for gordon but gordon really can't show is true feelings towards batman
CrimeAlley
CrimeAlley - 6/1/2011, 7:02 PM
Not for nothing they could have blamed joker for dents murders lol not batman. But that wouldn't make for a good story. Maybe joker will expose dent while he's in prison? We need to find out what happened to the joker

@TheGoddamnSuperman Re watch the Dark Knight they had his daughter too.
Macksimus
Macksimus - 6/2/2011, 12:53 AM
I bet we'll find out about the Joker's origin in the TDKR. That's a major plot hole in TDK that I'm sure the new movie will fill.

He was probably an agent of the League shadows exposed to high levels of the lazarus pit which drove him insane; then they "unleashed" him on Gotham to destroy it. It's not far-fetched if you think about it. He came closer to destroying Gotham than Ra's ever did in Begins.
Macksimus
Macksimus - 6/2/2011, 12:56 AM
I do think Tate is Talia, and I bet she changes sides...

I think, initially, she'll want revenge, but I think she'll actually try and save Bruce from Bane at some point in the Movie.

...probably because she loves him, and she is PREGNANT WITH HIS SON!
Macksimus
Macksimus - 6/2/2011, 1:00 AM
I think Bane will in fact be immune to pain, but I also think he'll be immune to the sideeffects of the Lazarus Pit. He can ingest large amounts of its chemicals without going insane. The mask probably allows Bane to breath in the Lazarus chemicals in aerosol form which gives him increased strengh, stamina, and a healing factor.

Macksimus - 6/2/2011, 1:04 AM
I also believe we will learn about Dr. Crane's origins a little. I think the "evil scientist" will be revealed to have been Crane's mentor and the one who invented Crane's mask and the fear toxin.

...Crane was a shrink; He wasn't someone who could create the fear toxin and that mask. I just can't believe that.
Macksimus
Macksimus - 6/2/2011, 1:16 AM
I have no theory about Catwoman. I have no idea how she could fit in the story. I'm sure she'll be a love interest of sorts, but I also think she'll be an anti-hero who kind of takes Bats' place after he is possibly severely injured by Bane ;)

Macksimus
Macksimus - 6/2/2011, 1:20 AM
Nixon? No idea, but i do like the Black Mask twist. More than likely he'll be a corrupt D.A. with dealings with the mob in some way or maybe the League of Shadows.
Jer3miah
Jer3miah - 6/2/2011, 6:47 AM
@Macksimus - Ras already stated in BB that Crane created the fear toxin using the blue plant found in the mountains. You're calling Ras a liar, now? Lol. Crane was never supposed to be in TDK; Nolan put him in there because he likes Cillian Murphy, and because the fans wanted more Scarecrow.

I'm not sure on the Catwoman plot, but I do believe that the woman playing an employee at Wayne Ent. will, indeed, be Talia masquerading as a civilian. I say this because it would fit perfect with the theme of deception from BB.

I'm sure Bane will be the primary villain, but if you know Nolan, you know there's never just one villain. In BB, you had Earl(excuse me if i'm wrong about his name) the corrupt businessman, corrupt cops like Flass, Ras and the League, Scarecrow and Arkham.

In TDK, there was Crane, Joker, the entire mob, more corrupt cops and Two-Face. If written correctly, balancing multiple villains like that can be easily done. (no antagonist for Wayne Ent.)

So far, in TDKR, there's Bane. With speculation, you have Catwoman, veering between both sides. Then you have the possibility of Talia, more corrupt cops, more thugs/regular bad guys like the mob, maybe. Also keep in mind that, logically speaking, Wayne's company will have another antagonist trying to either take it over or destroy it.

That being said, it would also make sense of Talia(speculation) tried to make Wayne Ent. go bankrupt just as Ras did to Bruce's parents. So, for Bruce, he would have to rise and overcome both physical, financial and mental challenges. It would make for a beautiful twist, I'd say. Then again, this is just speculation, so who knows or gives much of a damn? LoL

i like your 'pregnant with his son' that'd be cool
but there is noooo way in hell the joker is gonna get an origin
GillytheKid33
GillytheKid33 - 6/2/2011, 12:56 PM
I disagree with everything that you have said except for Catwoman.

Tate is Tate. Not Talia. Batman is the worlds greatest detective, even if he has not established this thus far in Nolans series. Batman will not have the same stunt pulled on him twice. He's smarter than that. And he would like freakin stupid if he had it pulled on him by the same family.

Nixon is Nixon. Not Black Mask (Even if I would like Black Mask in this). Nixon will be a corrupt polotican trying to take over the Mayors job and controling whats left of the mob.

I also think that Blake will be a friend more than an enemy to Bats. They may conflict for the start, but if he's working under Gordon he'll have to trust what Gordon says. I see Blake's character similar to Harvey Dent. Where he was on the fence from the start but understands that Batman is what the city needs and helps him with his cause same as Gordon and Dent did.

I'm on @TGDSupes side with the little girl. Itll be little B Gords and not Talia, If not some random kid Bats saves.

Talia is to obvious and Nolan clearly is not giving us the obvious character people want (ex. riddler, joker, robin... BLACK MASK/TALIA.)

This is not an Editorial. This is either a Fan-fic or something that belongs in Features. This is just a list of theories that you beleive to be true, and for some reason expect us to beleive too. You did nothing to try and prove or argue your point.

@Macksimus: How is The Joker's origin being revealed a plot hole? Do you even know what a plot hole is?

Tata is a red herring. Nolan knows fans have gotten smart, so he's throwing in a bit of misdirection. Classic Kansas City Shuffle.

She might still be a villain, but not Talia. That is my thoery.

@golden: see if you can find afew more things to b.I.t.c.h. about. These are my theories that I would like to share. And if you've read the entire article AND my comments I've backed up all my theories with probably cause...

Ya know? I see you post comments on every article I read. You're one of those guys who can bitch about amillion things but never actually has an opinion for himself. You're not allowed to comment anyone anymore while you're finishing your period.

Ill post what I want where I want. I'm not an aspiring journalist like yourself.

Now people I have a new one for you all

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is without doubt taking up Heath Ledger's mantle(the guy look like he could be his twin-brother) and portraying the Joker. I know the press release said that his role was: John Blake.

But let me ask you; what happens if you combine the first two letters with the last two: Joke!!!!!

That's right you heard here first, now go conspirize people about this(wow, that was a great word I just invented right there :P )
LuckyKyd
LuckyKyd - 6/3/2011, 1:32 PM
Oh oh wait, I got another one:
Miranda Tate - take the first two and the last two = Mite = Bat-Mite!!!!

Yeah no doubt, Marion Cotillard will play the mysterious part of Bat-Mite, I say bring it on! :P

(by the way, you should be aware that as plenty of sarcasm went into these two comments, I do actually wonder if Nolan, that sly dog, is shrouding his characters in mystery?)

Macksimus - 6/3/2011, 5:29 PM

you're right. I do know what it means, and I don't know why I used it there. I really meant his origins was an "unanswered question."

...thanks for the heads up.

@Jeremiah

You anal a-holes lol. You're right; he does say Crane made the toxin, but it doesn't mean the "mad scientist" still couldn't have been his mentor.
Macksimus
Macksimus - 6/3/2011, 5:43 PM
Also, I say Joey King is Talia. I'm not one to inquire that an actor/actress will be playing a certain character because of his/her physical appearance, but she (king) does look very similar in appearance to Marion Cotillard.

...considering it hasn't been confirmed yet, anything is possible.
