Uncanny X-Men 1
The 1st of the trilogy plays out almost identical to the 1st issue with little or no surprises.

Uncanny X-Men 2
Plays out the Sentinel mini starring Trask, the Sentinels and Master Mold.

Uncanny X-Men 3
The finale deviates slightly. Whereas, in the 1st Magneto, alone, battles the team in the final scenes, and the sequel sees him save the X-Men, the finale sees the Master of Magnetism enlists other evil mutants so that he can 1) overcome the X-Men and 2) overthrow the human race and lead the mutant race as they destroy the humans. Magneto is fed up after the Sentinel attacks. However, in the finale Magneto and his Brotherhood battle the X-Men in the beginning of the film only to speed up their plans of a revolution immediately following their battle. In doing so, Magneto finds his 'Avalon'. He discovers a place he believes the mutant race can flourish and develop without being bothered by Homo Sapiens until that day they decide to attack.

The safe haven is not Genosha, that will come much later in the comics. This is, unfortunately, The Savage Land (TSL). Magneto did not foresee the effects of the land on mutants. The mutants, his cabal, have lost their super human abilities but, to the dismay of the inhabitants of TSL, the cabal of villains did not lose their arrogance or their sinister outlook on life. They slowly take over the land and enslave the inhabitants.

One prisoner escapes. Professor X uses Cerebro to locate Magneto and, knowing the extraordinary atmospheric anomaly (the loss of powers and his ability to walk) of TSL, accompanies his X-Men to save TSL.

The escapee, Ka-zar, finds the X-Men and, together, they defeat the Brotherhood.

The twins part ways with the Brotherhood.

Magneto must find another sanctuary.

The cast...

Professor X
Bio
The paraplegic headmaster of the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters

Yul Brynner
Age as of 1964: 44
Bio
The legendary, award-winning actor, rumored to be the base model for the telepathic mutant, is best known for movies such as The King and I, The 10 Commandments and The Magnificent 7.
The finale offers Brynner the chance to mix it up physically with his rival, Magneto. This also grants Xavier the opportunity to prove he's a tough SOB.

Cyclops
Bio
The archetypical, All-American leader of the merry mutants. He develops feelings for Marvel Girl after she makes it known she has feelings for him.

Ryan O'Neal
Age: 21
Bio
O'Neal trained as an amateur boxer before beginning his career in acting in 1960. In 1964, he landed the role of Rodney Harrington on the ABC nighttime soap opera Peyton Place. Among many other movies was The Love Story, for which he received Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations as Best Actor. Since 2007, he has had a recurring role in the TV series Bones.

He was actually my 3rd choice. Much better than my 1st in that I was more acquainted with him and his age was more appropriate. The 2nd choice, Martin Sheen was, both, older and not yet famous.

Beast
Bio
The Beast is a mutant who possesses ape-like superhuman physical strength and agility and oversized hands and feet (if it looks good on screen, otherwise id try just the feet and then, if it still doesn't work, id give him normal appendages and add some prosthetics to make him appear ape-like) though he otherwise appears to be a normal human being.

Ian McShane
Age: 21
Bio
He starred in the Wild and the Willing with John Hurt and then moved on to a lead role in Sky West and Crooked and, more recently, Deadwood and Pirates of the Caribbean.

McShane has the ability to pull off the super-intelligence and wise-cracking personality of McCoy and bears a striking resemblance to the simian super hero.

Marvel Girl
Bio
Jean's mutant powers of telepathy and telekinesis first manifest when her best friend is hit by a car and killed. Jean mentally links with her friend and nearly dies as well. The event leaves her comatose, and she is brought back to consciousness when her parents seek the help of powerful mutant telepath, Charles Xavier. Xavier blocks her telepathy until she is old enough to be able to control it, leaving her with access only to her telekinetic powers. Xavier later recruits her as a teenager to be part of his X-Men team as "Marvel Girl", the team's sole female member. After several missions with the X-Men, Xavier removes Jean's mental blocks and she is able to use and control her telepathic powers.

Tuesday Weld
Age: 21
Bio
2 of the 3 others I was looking to use were Grace Kelly and Patty Duke. The 1st being outshone as an actress by Weld and the latter, although a superb actress, not quite as attractive as the sole female in 2 out of the 3 movies.

Angel
Bio
When white feathered wings begin to grow from his shoulder blades, Warren feels he is a freak, but he soon learns that he can use his wings to fly and to help people. When there is a fire in his dormitory, he dresses up as the Avenging Angel to save his classmates. He then becomes a solo adventurer before being recruited by Professor Charles Xavier into joining the X-Men.
Warren's status as a wealthy playboy, as well as being an outspoken individual who chafes at the notion of being told what to do, is the subject of much tension within the X-Men. In particular, Warren is, at 1st, smitten with Jean Grey, who does not reciprocate. She has eyes only for Scott.
Brandon de Wilde
Age: 22
Bio
deWilde became a national phenomenon by the time he completed his 492 performances for The Member of the Wedding and was considered a child prodigy. Before the age of 12 he had become the first child actor awarded the Donaldson Award, for his role in The Member of the Wedding. He starred in the film Shane, had been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and starred in his own sitcom television series, Jamie.

Iceman
Bio
Iceman quickly befriends Beast, and the two serve as comic relief for the team. Drake, however, remains self-conscious regarding the fact that he is the youngest member of the group. He appears in his new ice-covered form if possible without looking foolish. If so, then I'd go normal; same as X2000 did.

Luke Halpin
Age: 17
Bio
Halpin's most famous role came when he was picked to play Sandy Ricks the 1963 feature, Flipper. The successful film spawned a sequel, Flipper's New Adventure and a TV series all starring the teen idol.

Magneto
Bio
A Jewish Holocaust survivor whose actions are driven by the purpose of protecting the mutant race from suffering a similar fate.

Kirk Douglas
Age: 48
Bio
I could have gone several different routes, as far as actors go. Lee Marvin, for example is perfect in look, attituted, toughness and charisma, however, is a bit younger, at 40, than I'd like. I chose a strong, well-liked actor with an amazing play list of legendary movies; considered this while still in his prime, mind you. His parents were Jewish immigrants from Gomel and the family spoke Yiddish. His father's brother, who emigrated earlier, used the surname Demsky, which Douglas' family adopted in the United States. In addition to their surname, his parents also changed their given names to Harry and Bertha. Douglas was a major box office star in the 1950s and 1960s, playing opposite some of the leading actresses of that era. Among his various roles, he played a frontier peace officer in his first western Along the Great Divide (1951). In Lonely Are the Brave (1962), his own favorite of his performances, Douglas plays a cowboy trying to live by his own code, much as he did in real life.

Sounds like he'd love playing Magneto, to me.

'66

Bolivar Trask
Bio
Bolivar decides that humanity has to fight back against the mutants and develops robotic guardians for humanity, known as the Sentinels.

Lee J. Cobb
Age: 55
He is best known for his performance in 12 Angry Men in 1957 and it is that very movie, a must-see, btw, that I chose him, and only him, as the evil human that creates...

Master Mold
Bio
Trask makes Master Mold, a super-computer, in the shape of a giant Sentinel robot, that will control and facilitate the construction of the Sentinels.

Orson Welles
Age: 51
The iconic voice of one of the most prolific voices is the only actor deserving of the giant bot.

'68

Quicksilver
Bio
The pair are recruited by Magneto after he saves Wanda from a mob after she accidentally causes a house to burst into fire. Quicksilver stays with her to protect her. The pair are reluctant but feel they owe the man.
Quicksilver is every bit the jerk he should be.

If your looking at the age of McCallum compared to Douglas consider that the twins were not yet outed as his children and they appeared closer in age in the beginning. It wasn't until some time as part of Cap's quirky quartet that they learned the truth.

David McCallum
Age: 35
Bio
The Man from U.N.C.L.E, intended as a vehicle for Robert Vaughn, made McCallum into a sex symbol. McCallum constructed a complex character whose appeal rested largely in what was shadowy and enigmatic about him. McCallum was quickly elevated to co-star status. McCallum's character became a pop culture phenomenon. The actor was inundated with fan letters and a Beatles-like frenzy followed him everywhere he went. While playing Kuryakin, McCallum received more fan mail than any other actor in MGM's history. McCallum received two Emmy nominations in the course of the show's four-year run (1964–68) for playing the intellectual and introverted secret agent.

Scarlet Witch
Bio
Not a temptress on purpose, Wanda's innocence and sex appeal are the cause of much of Quicksilver's anger. As protective as he is of his sister, she is every bit as dangerous as any mutant on screen, if not more. Not so much as a hint on paper, nor was there an idea at the time, pertaining to the parentage of the twins, so my next idea may be hard to swallow for those not familiar...

Magneto was quite the flirt with the witch. I can see this causing even more strife within the Brotherhood.

Elizabeth Taylor
Age: 36
Bio
One of the great screen actresses of Hollywood's Golden Age. As one of the world's most famous film stars, Taylor was recognized for her acting ability and for her glamorous lifestyle, beauty, and distinctive violet eyes.
National Velvet (1944) was Taylor's first success, and she starred in Father of the Bride (1950), A Place in the Sun (1951), Giant (1956), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958), and Suddenly, Last Summer(1959). She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for BUtterfield 8 (1960), played the title role in Cleopatra (1963), and married her co-star Richard Burton. They appeared together in 11 films, including Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966), for which Taylor won a second Academy Award.

Mastermind
Bio
1st, so as to not confuse him with Master Mold, I'd call him Maestro. 2nd...
I'd play him as an extremely devious, and untrustworthy slime bag that uses his powers all the time to manipulate everyone. Everyone, that is, except Magneto. For whatever reason, he does not oppose Magneto, nor does he cast allusions on his leader. He secretly pines for Wanda but does not dare hit on her as that would anger Magneto.

The movie would push the idea to nauseam that any time Magneto turns his back, Maestro gives him that old school mustache-twirling evil eye with all the workings save the Da-Da-Da hard music.

Peter Cushing
Age: 55
Bio
An English actor, known for his many appearances in Hammer Films, in which he played the distinguished-looking but sinister scientist, Baron Frankenstein, and the vampire hunter, Dr. Van Helsing, amongst many other roles, often appearing opposite Christopher Lee, (note that, because of this, I strongly considered the obvious casting of Lee as Magneto, but quickly dismissed it as typecasting and as I was offput by his towering height. Also, I was very close to using him as Magneto, only I pulled that idea given his age). His most famous roles outside of "Hammer Horror" include his many appearances as Sherlock Holmes, as Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars(1977) and as the mysterious Doctor in Dr. Who and the Daleks and Daleks – Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D. in 1965 and 1966, two cinema films based on the television series Doctor Who.

Toad
Bio
Magneto's short, wiry, British bi+ch. He's abused but takes it because he feels deserves no better.

Dustin Hoffman
Age: 31
Bio
I was way too close to using Brit John Hurt who, in his own right, is a great actor, but Is no Hoffman. We know, from watching Hook, Hoffman can do British. We also know, from dozens of other movies, that Hoffman is more than just a great actor; actors like him come along no more than 2 every generation. He ranks up there with DeNiro and very few others. He is an incredible character actor and he will prove it here.

Ka-zar
Bio
The Tarzan-esque character is the self-proclaimed Lord of the Savage Land and has taken it upon himself to protect the secret from any and all outsiders.

Rutger Hauer
Age: 24
Bio
He was cast in the lead role of the successful 1969 television series Floris, a Dutch medieval action drama. The role made him famous in his native country. Let's imagine that he was, then, not years later, offered an American role, in Ka-zar. The role requires little talking and tons of familiar action for the rugged star.

I have also composed a 1978 X-Men, which could be considered a reboot of the franchise.

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ager/news/?a=57918

It co-stars Ian McShane as Wolverine this go around. I think that's a fun way to (dis)connect the movies.

I will be (re)making a '93 X-Men fancast with McShane as well and my '00 reboot recast could very well be set in '05 and I would then replace Sam Neill (also a part of the '78 cast) with McShane as Shaw. This would make McShane a different character in every franchise from '64-'09

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ager/news/?a=47647

The '05 cast would span from '05-'09 and hopefully shut the door on the X-Men as a team and maybe open the door for individual movies starring the Giant-sized X-members such as the ones I've plotted, albeit a different cast in the future.

Banshee, essentially a cop movie, the 3-hour epic kick starts the craze

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ager/news/?a=38428

Nightcrawler, a religious-esque movie akin to Priest, The Book of Eli and others with their background in religion

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ager/news/?a=38746

Colossus, a modern holocaust type story

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ager/news/?a=38980

Forge, replacing Thunderbird, is the story of a soldier finding his true self, as a Native-American mutant

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ager/news/?a=39365

Storm, a movie about losing innocence and the character built from those experiences

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ager/news/?a=39620

Sunfire, a revenge movie

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ager/news/?a=40083

Wolverine, the 3-parter is a pioneer story, a samurai story and an anti-government story. (side note: I love my government, but the story is what it is)

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ager/news/?a=40722

Banshee
Wolverine
Nightcrawler
Colossus
Forge
Wolverine 2
Storm
Sunfire
Wolverine 3
