This is my idea for a Terminator film:
But first, Backstory:
-In the year 2029, a T-800 terminator to the year 2004 is sent to kill 23 year old Sarah Connor. Because of this, the Resistance sends solider Kyle Reese to protect her. During this short time together, Kyle and Sarah fall in love and conceive their son John. The events of the first Terminator play out.
-Ten years later, Skynet sends the T-1000 is sent to kill John. Luckily, the resistance sends the same model terminator to protect John. Then, the events of T2 play out.
Premise: Two years later, John and Sarah have lived moved on from the events of the second film and are living an ordinary life. But one day, Sarah is murdered by a T-850 and John is about to be killed when he saved by another terminator. The same one that protected him two years ago. He and the T-800 escapes, and the T-800 reveals that something has happened to the timeline and that he and John need to go back to 2004 to make sure Reese meets up with Sarah

Film starts out with a voice-over from Sarah detailing the events of Judgement Day and how it was averted.
Alternative Opening-(While the V.O is happening, a raid on Skynet's headquarters is being conducted. John and his squad of soldiers invade the compound and finds a room with the time machine (used in the first two movies). The troops turn on the machine and John is about to go through it, when Reese stops him and volunteers to go through. Reese then goes through the portal)
We then cut to an ordinary morning at the Conners. Sarah is now living with a teenage John in a studio apartment. Sarah goes into John's room and wakes him up with a pillow. He is woken up with a "what the heck" attitude
John: Really?
Sarah: Come on, solider. I got work and you have school.
She then makes breakfast for the both of them. After that, the two head into their Honda Civic and roll out of their apartment's parking lot. John and Sarah are casually talking when a car slams into them. Sarah immediately asks if John is alright. John nods his head saying "yes". She goes outside to assess the damage. All of a sudden, a man with a pump-action shotgun blows Sarah away from the car. Still in the car, John screams out "No" and the man turns his head and starts shooting at John. John moves to the driver's seat and drives away with the mysterious man giving chase. This leads into a car chase between John and the Mysterious Man, which concludes when the Honda hits a fire hydrant. The impact unleashes the airbag which knocks John out unconscious. The man gets out of his vehicle, and goes to the wrecked Honda. He then rips the car door open and pulls the unconscious John out. As John starts to wake from his current state, he sees the shotgun pointed at his head and closes his head hoping that end quickly.
Out of nowhere, BLAM! John opens his eyes to find the mysterious man's head blown to pieces. He turns his head to see that the man re-loading it, is the same terminator that protected him almost two years ago. As the terminator reaches John, he puts a another shell into the head of the mysterious man. The terminator gives his hand to John and says "Come With Me, If You Want To Live".
