He or she is concerned with management accounting and possibly with associated legal issues (like copyrights or royalties). An EP also contributes to the film's budget, and does not work on set.
Kurt Russell [Notable Works {As A Producer}: Escape From L.A., 14 Hours]: Kurt seems to have a mostly positive attitude about the remake. He only has one serious demand - Who ever plays Snake has to be an American. I figure if it follows that suit, and you bring in Kurt it would be a show of good faith and could appease Russell.

Larry J. Franco [Notable Works: Escape From New York, The Thing, Big Trouble in Little China]: Larry has produced a large number of Carpenter films, and I always felt that if Escape was remade Larry would have to serve as an Exec Producer.

Gale Anne Hurd [Notable Works: The Walking Dead, The Punisher, Terminator]: She's a high profiled Producer that I felt would be a trusting source for the Escape Remake. She's a clever gal who knows where to put her faith in.

Robert Rodriguez [Notable Works {As A Producer}: Predators, Death Proof, Sin City]: I honestly wanted to have him Direct New York, but it wasn't a project I felt he was best for. He's a very trusting producer and would really do all that's necessary to get the film made.

Shane Black [Notable Works {As A Producer}: The Last Boy Scout, The Long Kiss Goodbye]: Shane was my original choice to direct. But I didn't feel like he was 100% the right person. He's a good writer and an appropriate producer for the project.

Rian Johnson [Notable Works {As A Producer}: N/A]: While he doesn't have any Producing credits this would be a fantastic place for him to Start. This would allow him creative control.

Drew Pearce [Notable Works {As A Producer}: Damage Control {T.V. Series}, No Heroics {T.V. Series/Movie}, Lip Service {T.V. Series}]: He's about to take his venture into Directing and while I have him for another role in the project it felt appropriate to put him on as a Producer to help him expand his filmography.

The role of the costume designer is to create the characters and balance the scenes with texture and color, etc.The costume designer works alongside the director, scenic, lighting designer, sound designer, and other creative personnel. The costume designer may also collaborate with hair stylist, wig master, or makeup artist. In European theatre, the role is different, as the theatre designer usually designs both costume and scenic elements.
Sharen Davis [Notable Works: Book of Eli, Looper, Django Unchained]: I love her work as a costume designer. She did such a lovely job with Book of Eli and Looper to get the gravity of this apocolyptic/dystopian world in the character's appearance. Her work with Django is inspiring with the many costume showcasing the western side of the characters while conveying personal style and difference. She would give us a just as Iconic look for Snake as did Carpenter and his Company.
Production Designer: a production designer or P.D is the person responsible for the overall look of a filmed event such as films, TV programs, video games, music videos or adverts. Production designers have one of the key creative roles in the creation of motion pictures and television. Working directly with the director and producer, they must select the settings and style to visually tell the story.
Patrick Tatopoulos [Notable Works: Batman Vs Superman, Total Recall {2012}, Live Free Or Die Hard]: He gave the future a very authentic and very depressing look in Total Recall. He's great at the job and can really get the gravity of a world set in a depressing dystopian setting.
Director of Photography: A cinematographer (usually credited with the title director of photography, or DP) is the chief over the camera and lighting crews working on a film and responsible for achieving artistic and technical decisions related to the image. The study and practice of this field is referred to as cinematography.
Steve Yedlin [Notable Works: Brick, Looper, Carrie]: His work in Looper is exactly what Escape From New York needs in a D.P. He's worked with my chosen director many times and have a pre-established relationship. Together they could do an amazing job!
Film Editor: Film editing is part of the creative post-production process of filmmaking. The term film editing is derived from the traditional process of working with film, but now it increasingly involves the use of digital technology.
Bob Ducsay [Notable Works: The Mummy, Looper, Godzilla {Forthcoming}]: Bob is a very talented Editor, his work on Looper was Oscar-worthy in my opinion. I have no doubt he would do an amazing job editing Escape From New York.

Movie}], Shane Black [Notable Works {As A Screenwriter}: Lethal Weapon, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Iron Man Three], & Rian Johnson [Notable Works {As A Screenwriter}: Brick, Looper, Brother's Bloom]: While Drew Pearce and Shane Black are fantastic writers, and would write an amazing initial script, Rian often only directs his own works and would be necessary to doctor and fine tune the script so we could get much of Rian's vision while not having to worry about the script being 100% re-written.

The score forms part of the film's soundtrack, which also usually includes dialogue and sound effects, and comprises a number of orchestral, instrumental or choral pieces called cues which are timed to begin and end at specific points during the film in order to enhance the dramatic narrative and the emotional impact of the scene in question.
Michael Wandmacher [Notable Works: Punisher: War Zone, Never Back Down, Drive Angry]: I'm a big fan of his film scores. He's great at getting them to capture the essence of the film's characters and situation while keeping a very memorable tune. He would certainly be able to readapt the theme from the original and beef it up for this modern day audience.

Rian Johnson [Notable Works {As A Director}: Brick, Looper, Breaking Bad {Certain Episodes}]: Rian is a wonderful director. One important aspect of Escape From New York was that it had Noir Elements. But it's a bit more of an action movie, it has elements of a Western. And Looper definitely had a Sci-Fi Western Feel with Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character and his actions. Rian would definitely grasp the feeling and tone and the political science behind Escape From New York. He was about the only director that really felt right. In Modern viewing Escape From New York, if made today would no doubt be a Rian Johnson styled film.

S.D. Bob "Snake" Plissken [Height: 5' 11", Age: 30's-40's]: He is a former Special Forces operator/war hero in World War III turned criminal. His apprehension and coercion by the United States Police Force to secure top-secret material from the ex-cities turned maximum security prisons of New York and Los Angeles play a big role in the movies, giving him the role of the protagonist.
Norman Reedus [Height: 5' 10", Age: 44, Notable Works: Boondock Saints, The Walking Dead, Pandorum]: Norman wasn't my first choice, but honestly I believe he's the best choice for the role. An all around American, who's had a lot of experience in action films but has never done a role like Snake Before. This would afford him the range. He's the right styled actor for this, he's definitely an actor you wouldn't expect but you could definitely see him do the role amazingly well.
Warden Bob Hauk [Height: 6' 2", Age: 50's-60's]:Head of the New York Prison and Police Force, having a life long experience in the military he became warden to make sure no one escapes the prison.
Tommy Lee Jones [Height: 6' 0", Age: 67, Notable Works: The Hunted, No Country For Old Men, Lincoln]: He was a the original Studio's choice to play Snake {Next to Charles Bronson} and I always have been a fan of Tommy Lee Jones. He would be perfect for the role of Hauk. He has the right voice and the right comedic timing and the right serious tone. All around Tommy Lee Jones is just the perfect person to take the role from Lee Van Cleef.
Cabbie [Height: 5' 9", Age: 60's]: A New York City cab driver who stayed behind after New York was transformed into the Government's Prison. He's an all around Jolly guy, has no-beef with any body and just drives around enjoying the city, catching inmate shows when he can.
John Malkovich [Height: 6' 0", Age: 60, Notable Works: Being John Malkovich, Con Air, Red]: Who doesn't love John Malkovich? He's a wonderful actor and this role absolutely screams for Malkovich. He's perfect for the role of Cabbie!
President [Height: 5' 7", Age: 60's]: After the beginning of World War 3, The United States fell into such an Economic Depression the British Government briefly took over and was able to amend the constitution enough that allowed Foriegners to become President, and sure enough allowed a British President to be elected. Now in Power the President has used C.I.A. Connections to compile a disk of information that would allow him to Black Mail each and every other nation that threatens the United States giving him universal control.
Malcolm McDowell [Height: 5' 9", Age: 70, Notable Works: Star Trek Generations, Halloween, Gangster No. 1]: Malcolm is a strong and very fine actor. He was honestly the only actor I was able to see in this role. One of the key reasons of which is he's British, like Donald Pleasance, and He took the role of Sam Loomis. He felt like the right person for this, he does a wonderful job as an actor. He would be amazing as the President.
The Duke [Height: 6' 0", Age: 30's-40's]: A Brooklyn thug who got out of New York Early in his life, and attempted to become something big, unfortunately that only mounted for a life of crime. He was Arrested and sent to New York as it becomes a Prison, taking his smarts and strength and turning himself into a ganglord, he dominates most of New York and is fitted with the Appropriate name "The Duke."
Quinton Jackson [Height: 6' 1", Age: 35, Notable Works: A-Team, Midnight Meat Train, Fire With Fire]: I know I use Quinton a lot. He's a good actor I feel. I don't believe that Isaac Hayes gave a very oscar worthy performance as the Duke, but he gave a good one and that is what Quinton would give. He's got the attitude and the feel of it. He's got the right build and voice for the role. His fighting Background also is a huge help.
Harold Hellman/Brain [Height: 5' 8", Age: 40's-50's]: A career criminal who had a poor upbringing but was well read and had a gift for Science. He had double crossed Plissken, and later ended up in New York, where he was able to put his science to use and become an Invaluable member of the Duke's elite. Brain was given the New York Public Library for Solitude and even a woman to keep him happy, in return he supplies the Duke with motor-fuel.
Edward Norton [Height: 6' 0", Age: 44, Notable Works: Red Dragon, Incredible Hulk, American History X]: Ed Norton is a fantastic actor. He was the first person I could really think of that would work as well for this role as Harry Dean Stanton did in the 1980's. Norton does fantastic work and is a very intelligent individual and this would allow him to show that.
Maggie [Height: 5' 3", Age: 30's-40's]: The Brain's squeeze, given by the Duke. She was likely a hooker who had no choice but to stay behind in New York, and Once the Duke took over quickly built an alliance. Once she was given to Brain she initially hated it, but eventually grew dependent and fell in love with him. Together they lived in as close to a Marriage as they could.
Famke Janssen [Height: 6' 0", Age: 48, Notable Works: X-Men Trilogy, Taken, Goldeneye]: I think one angle I imagine Famke would take the role is one that I'm interested to see and that is the role of a victim who's fallen in love with the situation. She's a wonderful actress and does an amazing job whenever she performs. She would be perfect for Maggie.
Rheme [Height: 6' 1", Age: 40's]: Night Warden of the New York Prison. First to recieve the information about the President's capture via a S.O.S. Message by Air Force One, coded as David 14.
Clark Gregg [Height: 5' 9", Age: 51, Notable Works: Iron Man, Much Ado About Nothing, Trust Me]: I love Clark as an Actor and I wanted to put him in this cast even if it's a role as small as Rheme. He's a good and fun actor to have around.
Secretary of State [Height: 5' 10", Age: 40's]: The Secretary of State is a senior official of the federal government of the United States of America heading the U.S. Department of State, principally concerned with foreign affairs and is considered to be the U.S. government's equivalent of a Minister for Foreign Affairs. The Secretary of State, appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate, is a member of the President's Cabinet, the National Security Council, and is the highest-ranking appointed executive branch official both in the presidential line of succession and the order of precedence.
Julian McMahon [Height: 6' 2", Age: 45, Notable Works: Fantastic Four, Premonition, Red]: Julian is a better actor than he's given credit for. I felt like he would be an admirable addition to the cast, playing the Secretary of State and could show some real fun.
Romero [Height: 5' 8" {Estimated}, Age: 30's]: An associate of the Duke. His prime messenger and a true psychopath. Showing no trust in Brain or Maggie he shows them resentment.
Elijah Wood [Height: 5' 6", Age: 32, Notable Works: Sin City, North, Maniac]: With his recent performance in Maniac, I was very inspired to put Elijah in this cast, as Romero. The character fits his range, and his production schedule as he continues to film Wilfred, this would allow him a bit of something new, and fresh while not disrupting the schedule too much.
Slag [Height: 6' 8", Age: 40's]: A large brute who is hailed in New York as a gladiator and the Duke's key enforcer. A giant monster of a man who is allowed to showcase his Psychopathic side in New York.
Glenn Jacobs [Height: 7' 0", Age: 46, Notable Works: WWE Raw, See No Evil, Smallville]: It felt important to me to cast a Wrestler as Slag. I'm sure plenty of actors could do the role and that's alright but Slag was originally played by a Wrestler and it felt right. I was originally going to use Steve Austin, as he was a childhood favorite wrestler. But I felt that Glenn was a better fit for it, both by size and by gimmick. Slag is his kind of monster.
