2nd, Companion Casting To "My NEW AVENGERS VOL. II Fancast."

This is my 2nd companion casting to my NEW AVENGERS VOLUME II fancast.

The first issue of the new HEROIC AGE AVENGERS was released JULY
1, 2010. AVENGERS #1: NEXT AVENGERS, PART 1.The series is written,
of course, by BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS, drawn by a legend whose the
son of a legend, JOHN ROMITA JR.!

Photobucket

This is the kind of line-up I've been dreaming of for THE MIGHTY
AVENGERS! Although I'd like to see MS. MARVEL transfer over here
from THE NEW AVENGERS and have HANK PYM as YELLOW
JACKET in his new red & yellow costume in here!
I'm only casting for the first 6-issue story arc.

After all the dark days of Marvel and OSBORN, and SIEGE was over, STEVE
ROGERS was made the top-cop by the President. He said that things were
going to be done his way now and with that the SUPER-HUMAN REGISTRATION
ACT was thrown out.
TONY STARK is given back AVENGER'S TOWER and he holds a large
party for all THE AVENGERS. STEVE gathers all the AVENGERS
together and asks for everyone's help in implementing his new plan.

Photobucket

Photobucket

He forms four teams for THE AVENGERS:

THE AVENGERS (The Core Group)
THE NEW AVENGERS (fights supernatural threats, led by LUKE CAGE)
THE YOUNG AVENGERS
THE SECRET AVENGERS (for all their BLACK-OPS MISSIONS, led by
STEVE ROGERS, himself.)

TONY STARK says he doesn't think he can work for STEVE as the leader
so STEVE ROGERS appoints MARIA HILL, The “CORE” AVENGERS
SUPERVISOR. THE TEAM IS: MARIA HILL, IRON-MAN, CAPTAIN
AMERICA (BUCKY BARNES), SPIDER WOMAN, SPIDER-MAN,
THOR and WOLVERINE, RED HULK joins later.
As they're discussing all the ins & outs of STEVE'S “Bright” New Age for
THE AVENGERS, a time-traveling KANG THE CONQUEROR emerges.
Without hesitation, THOR lands a blow on him and throws him off the
building. THE AVENGERS quickly go after KANG, who holds a
mysterious device. It's a machine that IRON-MAN conceived but never
got to create, a doomsday device. In fear that he will detonate it THE
AVENGERS are forced to hear him out.

Photobucket

KANG says that sometime in the future ULTRON will slay THE
AVENGERS and rule with an “iron” fist before THE AVENGER'S
CHILDREN eventually stop his reign – only to start their own empire
and threaten the entire universe. KANG asks THE AVENGERS to build
a time machine and travel to the future in order to stop their
successors. He vows he will no longer strive to harm them but befriend
them instead if they do this.
THE AVENGERS debate whether they should intervene and in the end
they decide to do it. Iron-man explains that they need NOH-VARR'S
(MARVEL-BOY) help if they are to travel through time successfully.
With WOLVERINE'S help the team finds NOH-VARR, who's now
going by the name, THE PROTECTOR. He joins the team and works
with them to create a device which allows them to see into multiple
possible futures. With this they quickly learn the time-stream is indeed
broken but before they can act they are attacked by WONDERMAN
who destroys the time machine. They quickly defeat him and prepare
to build another one but they are suddenly attacked by APOCAYPSE
and HIS FOUR HORSEMEN. They fight them but quickly realize
something's wrong as does APOCALYPSE but APOCALYPSE &
HIS HORSEMEN are just as suddenly gone.
THE AVENGERS decide to split into two groups, one to go forth into
the time-stream and one to handle time-related disturbances in the city.
One of these “disturbances” is DEVIL DINOSAUR and KILLRAVEN
coming through the time-stream followed by the MARTIANS who
attack the city. Thor dispatches the Martians quickly and disposes of
them and their machines while the other part of the group handles all
kinds of other time disturbances in N.Y. CITY. Thus while that team
fights the troubles in the present the others travel into the future and
the adventure rumbles on the tracks to it's final destination...

Now there are just too many AVENGERS that come and go in here so I
only put the basic main characters of this first story arc in this casting.

HEROIC AGE AVENGERS MOVIE FANCAST:

JOSH@ had OLIVIA as MARIA HILL in his “AGENTS OF SHIELD” fancast
and I think she's simply perfect for this “LEADING” role.

MARIA HILL (TEAM LEADER): OLIVIA WILDE

Photobucket

Quite a few people here want GARRETT HEDLUND as BUCKY BARNES-
CAPTAIN AMERICA but he's blond and I like him for another Marvel
character, HAVOC! On the other hand CHRIS PINE is naturally brown-
haired and he lost out on the STEVE ROGERS/CAP part so I say he's
downright deserving of the BUCKY BARNES' CAPTAIN AMERICA role.

CAPTAIN AMERICA (BUCKY BARNES): CHRIS PINE

Photobucket

Photobucket

He's the MIGHTY THOR for years to come and rightly so!

THOR (THOR ODINSON): CHRIS HEMSWORTH

Photobucket

I thought who better to take over this part after RDJ is too old for it
anymore, JOSH fits this role well!

IRONMAN (TONY STARK): JOSH BROLIN

Photobucket

Michelle will always be my pick for JESSICA DREW.

SPIDER WOMAN (JESSICA DREW): MICHELLE RYAN

Photobucket

Photobucket

My pick here looks like it's caught on all over the place, I see KANE cast
everywhere now as the “RUNT” with the indestructible metal claws.
I may have possibly started something! COOL!
If it only would truly come to pass then Wolverine would finally be the
short “CORRECT WOLVERINE”!

WOLVERINE (JAMES “LOGAN” HOWLETT): CHRISTIAN KANE

Photobucket

Some people said on my NEW AVENGERS fancast that CHRISTIAN
KANE doesn't look like LOGAN/WOLVERINE. Maybe he doesn't look
like HUGH JACKMAN but he looks like LOGAN! I think people are
thinking that LOGAN looks like JACKMAN because HUGH played him.
As a matter of fact Hugh Jackman doesn't resemble LOGAN at all!
LOGAN is short and wide (5'3”), HUGH is 6'2” tall and slim,
that's not LOGAN/WOLVERINE.....“AT ALL”! KANE is short & wide and
now has guns on him like a battleship! He's so short his nickname
in school was “SHORTY” (TRUE STORY)! LOL

LOGAN: CHRISTIAN KANE

Photobucket

As anyone can see here I didn't do much with KANE'S picture to make
him look like LOGAN. I only added the wing-tufts at the top of his
hair!

Photobucket

This is my new and permanent pick for the guy who got that strange
spider-bite! His comedic timing is superb, his physicality is
super-fitting and his acting is superlative!

SPIDERMAN (PETER PARKER): JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT

Photobucket

I decided to go way, wa-a-ay back to my first and most ideal choice
before all the CAPTAIN AMERICA nonsense started.....Here he is, the
irreverent rebel & sarcastic dick that everybody loves about the archer
HAWKEYE, come to life, JENSEN ACKLES!

HAWKEYE (CLINT BARTON): JENSEN ACKLES

Photobucket

Mike fits this alien-hero, formerly called MARVEL-BOY, like a glove!

THE PROTECTOR (NOH-VARR): MIKE VOGEL

Photobucket

STEPHEN LANG is ideal for this incarnation of the rough & tumble
GENERAL THUNDERBOLT ROSS who is transformed into the fiery
RED HULK.

RED HULK (GENERAL THADEUS “THUNDERBOLT” ROSS: STEPHEN LANG & CGI

Photobucket

SUPPORTING CHARACTERS:

I picked TAHMOH for WONDERMAN a long time ago and that's who
I've gone back to. His face looks exactly like him here!

WONDERMAN (SIMON WILLIAMS): TAHMOH PENIKETT

Photobucket

I had ANTHONY HEAD as JARVIS in my WHEDON AVENGERS
FUNCAST but he fits so well that I've kept him as my actual choice for
the caretaker of THE AVENGERS. I hope they have an actual living,
breathing JARVIS in THE AVENGERS movie.

JARVIS (EDWIN JARVIS): ANTHONY HEAD

Photobucket

I once wanted MARK STRONG as DOC DOOM at MARVEL but now I
think MATS MIKKELSEN is the ideal choice. Mark Strong fits the
MASTER OF TIME much better!

KANG/IMMORTUS (NATHANIEL RICHARDS): MARK STRONG

Photobucket

ULTRON: CGI + PATRICK WILSON (VOICE-ALTERED)

Photobucket

Somehow I picture mad MAESTRO with the deep commanding voice of
JOHN RHYS DAVIES.

MAESTRO (BRUCE BANNER): CGI + JOHN RHYS DAVIES (VOICE)

Photobucket

HANK is in here at the beginning and I thought I would include him here
because ULTRON figures so prominently in here!

HANK PYM (YELLOW JACKET): PATRICK WILSON

Photobucket

JUSTIN HARTLEY just seems and looks like that Martian-Fighting
Gladiator from an alternate future, to me.

KILLRAVEN (JONATHAN RAVEN): JUSTIN HARTLEY

Photobucket

I saw this hilarious KILLRAVEN cartoon by the great JOE LINSNER and
thought I would just throw it in here for comic relief! LOL

Photobucket

MAIN VILLAINS (In The Beginning):

Photobucket

NEXT AVENGERS (AVENGER'S CHILDREN):

I first saw this young actor in JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE
EARTH with BRENDAN FRASER and I thought to myself, man this kid
has something extra-special! He would do this part JUSTICE! FILM:
BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA.

JAMES ROGERS: JOSH HUTCHERSON

Photobucket

This girl is a gifted young actor and is the spitting image of THOR &
SIF'S daughter (her name is pronounced AWNA-SO-FEEA). FILM: CHARLIE
AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN.

TORUNN: ANNASOPHIA ROBB

Photobucket

This young man is perfect FOR THE SON OF HAWKEYE & MOCKINGBIRD
He has great comedic timing. TV: WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE,
THE SUITE LIFE ON DECK.

FRACIS BARTON: DYLAN SPROUSE

Photobucket

CAMERON first showed up on my radar in X-MEN: THE LAST STAND.
He's an outstanding young actor and great for the son of HANK & JAN!

HENRY PYM JR.: CAMERON BRIGHT

Photobucket

He was in the film, REBOUND, with MARTIN LAWRENCE and on the TV
show, LINCOLN HEIGHTS. He has the right look for T'CHALLA &
ORORO'S son.

AZARI: OREN WILIAMS

I like the cast, Especially JGL as spidey. Brolin is one hell of a pick for tony stark I like it but your saying that he should take over from RDJ when he's older but theres not much of age difference between the two maybe 2 or 3 years but there both in there 40's, brolin looks a lot older then he is, there fore I think you should have gone with some one in there late thirties maybe. But still great cast.
DDD
DDD - 1/12/2011, 5:49 AM
Thanks Exiles@!

What I meant is if RDJ gets older and doesn't want
to do the physical IRON-MAN anymore and gets tired
of the role that BROLIN could take the reins for
a little while.

Brolin is 42 and RDJ is 45, he's closer to 50 than
Brolin. That's funny, I think Brolin looks young
for his age. I think RDJ looks quite old.

Tony Stark is a very physical role and Brolin is
used to doing physical parts. He's more rough and
tumble and I think he could do Tony for a long
time to come. That's all I meant.

I was just looking for someone a little younger
than RDJ as someone else for the part, really.

That's all!
DDD
DDD - 1/12/2011, 5:53 AM
Exiles I was looking for someone with wit,
who could also do the part and was a just a
little younger, someone just as cool and
fitting as RDJ for the part.
Exiles
Exiles - 1/12/2011, 6:36 AM
I know dude Brolin would do great justice to the role, If he did take over I would definitely go and watch the movie. I just thinks its best to go a bit younger, when it eventually happens obviously not some actor who's in his 20's, preferably in there 30's so they can carry on doing a couple of films. but Brolins cool and I checked out your other fan casts I have to say what I have seen so far is top class. Keep it up man, I have to say I am liking your spidey pick.

Very much and thanks for the
nod on chat!
DDD
DDD - 1/12/2011, 7:37 AM
I get ya logico@!

I just went a little younger than RDJ
for an alternate choice.

But what about the rest of the cast?
MikeZ
MikeZ - 1/12/2011, 9:28 AM
Wow, not long after your first "Heroic Age" fancast, you've come back.

- Okay, speaking on the fact that I know little about the comic book arc, where was it that Bucky aged and looks like Chris Pine?
- I don't think they'll replace Robery Downey Jr. anytime soon. Downey still looks the same as he has for quite some time. NOT THAT I HATE JOSH BROLIN!!!
- Surprised you don't want Jessica Lowndes anymore. But YES! MICHELLE RYAN FOR SPIDER-WOMAN!!!
- Again, we're just gonna have to live with Hugh Jackman, Andrew Garfield, and Jeremy Renner in their respective roles. But Joseph and Jensen would've been great choices as Spider-Man and Hawkeye respectively.
- I see your pick for Cannonball from a past X-Men cast made it as Protector.
- I'm not sure if they'll replace everyone in the current Hulk movieverse just because Mark Ruffalo's our new Hulk. Stephen Lang's a great choice, though.
- Tahmoh Penikett = Wonder Man... or Yukon Jack (Penikett's from the Yukon part of Canada, right?)
- Hmm. Mark Strong as Kang.
- John'd be awesome in ANY role.
- I think Wilson's the undisputed fan favorite for Hank Pym. Not much was made from the "Adrien Brody as Ant-Man" rumor, so Patrick would be my choice as well. ;-)
- Funny story, I just heard about Killraven on one of the Comic Book Resources message boards. One guy cast Brad Pitt on the count that it would match his niche. However, Justin has the precise height. You decide, it's your fancast, my brotha.
- I haven't heard of ANY of the Next Avengers. Looks like I'm renting "Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow".

Again, an amazing cast. I'm jizzing thinking about who you'll case for the Young Avengers and Avengers Academy. Give JoshW a run for his money on the latter, you have my blessing.
MikeZ
MikeZ - 1/12/2011, 9:30 AM
By the way, you, JoshW, and OptimusPrime114 have given me inspiration for my next fancast, which is practically the entire "Heroic Age". Avengers, New Avengers, Young Avengers, Secret Avengers, and Avengers Academy. Besides, I know who to cast!
DDD
DDD - 1/12/2011, 10:08 AM
Thanks ROADDOG@!

I already cast the SECRET AVENGERS awhile back.
I won't be casting them again.

My Secret Avengers Fancast:
http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/DDD/news/?a=23171

I won't be casting HEROIC AGE YOUNG AVENGERS
or AVENGERS ACADEMY either, sorry! I'll leave
them to the younger casters here.

You sound like you got actors to play the YOUNG
AVENGERS and AVENGERS ACADEMY! I would love to
see who you choose for the young kids! I know
they'll be well thought out and appropriate.
DDD
DDD - 1/12/2011, 10:24 AM
ROADDOG@,
I'm not really competing on here with my fancasts
so I'm not trying to give anyone a run for the
money! Yeah, Josh@ my friend, and I have talked
about fancast actors before and compared notes.
He's a damm good caster, one of the best.

You are becoming one of the best here too!
I like how you think about a lot of your
casting of characters! I enjoy your casts.

I hope you didn't think I was attacking you
when I talked about my hate for FOX X-MEN
movies in your X-MEN, DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.

DDD @ I'm liking 'em all though PINE... hmmm prefer Black Knight or Cyclops! :)

But the again he'd own that part too, as long as we don't see him ever as Flash lol.

Excellent work dude as per usual, bud u gotta sort your pics out though, took me 5 minutes to comment! : P

Holey lol.

Big Thumbs buddy!

Nice cast man, it's clear u put a lot of effort into this
only one i dont like is Chris Kaine, personally i think Scott Caan is a better choice

Anyway man, if u got the chance check out my X-Men Fan Cast
MikeZ
MikeZ - 1/12/2011, 3:26 PM
@ DDD

Aw, I was looking forward to your takes. I'm sure you'd do a great job casting the Young Avengers and Avengers Academy. But that means I'll be handling the reigns. Trust me when I tell you I know who I'm casting in there, and I'll impress you for sure.

I think I saw your "Secret Avengers" fancast. I'll check that out and possibly leave a comment.

Like I said in my "X-Men 4" cast, no offense taken.
DDD
DDD - 1/12/2011, 3:48 PM
Thanks Superdude@!
DDD
DDD - 1/12/2011, 4:08 PM
Yeah, Leee@ Pine is good for a lot of roles
at Marvel but I thought if he's good enough
for Captain Kirk, he's good enough for
Captain America, at least the Bucky Barnes one.

He doesn't really fit any of the Flashes,
really, so yeah, No Flash.

Geez, I even made my pics smaller but they
still are too big, Dang! Sorry 'bout that Leee@!
I'll work some more on making them fit better.
DDD
DDD - 1/12/2011, 4:11 PM
Thanks LC@ and you're welcome for the Hartley
pic! LOL
DDD
DDD - 1/12/2011, 4:14 PM
I understand ABZ@, Caan is another likely
candidate for the RUNT with the shiny
sharp claws! He's definitely short and
built! He's great on the new HAWAII 5-0
on CBS!

I'll check-out your X-men fancast ASAP.
DDD
DDD - 1/12/2011, 4:17 PM
Yup, ROADDOG@!

Looking foward to your YOUNG AVENGERS
