RUMOR: Someone From A Classic SUPERMAN Movie To Cameo In MAN OF STEEL

A new rumor has found its way online that suggests an actor from a classic Superman film might just show up in Warner Brother's new reboot of Superman, Man Of Steel, in some type of cameo.

Man Of Steel is one of those films where rumors run wild. The first major rumor we had is that Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as Batman, would be making a cameo in the film to set up Justice League. JGL has since come out and said that he hasn't heard the rumor, and that you shouldn't believe it. Well now, there is another rumor. This one comes from Jim Bowers, who runs the website CapedWonder.com. According to Jim an actor from a classic Superman film will be making a cameo appearance in Man Of Steel. The photo, that I have posted below, is a post that he posted on Facebook, and was sent to me from a reader of CBM.

The reader also told me that further in the post, it got cut off in the screen cap, that people were told to think outside the box as who the cameo will be, and that Bowers had a hand in getting the person the cameo. It will be interesting to see who the cameo will be, IF this rumor is even true. I'll continue to dig on this a little bit to see what I can come up with, but for now it would be best to take this with a huge pinch of salt. For the latest on all thing Superman, make sure to check back here at CBM.

Batz @ From what the discussions have been that I was told about CGI is a possibility, so I wouldn't rule him out :)

The scene I would love them to CGI in is when reeves as kent first gets to the planet, and bumps into everyone as he's being introduced to staff. Take one of the clips and have him bump into new clack at the daily planet.

Hackman wouldn't need this guy's help to get a cameo. They would have to go after Hackman.

If I am to think outside the box then I would say Larry Hagman or John Ratzenberger. Two men that had small parts in the original but went on to bigger projects. I could see either one reprising their small roles. Ratzenberger because it would be funny, Hagman for sentimental purposes.

It's not a rumor. A young Clark Kent is walking back home from school and takes a brief moment to stop and look at a TV through a shop window. The TV is showing "The Aviator" (1985) starring Christopher Reeve. In actuality you need to think more "inside the box" for this cameo...and you're welcome ;)

I hope it is only a cameo. I don't believe tying this new film to the past films too much would be a wise choice. Superman is just now barely starting to finally get off the training-wheels.

A cameo should be ALL it is and nothing more.

They should do something with Stamp as one of the council who sentences Zod in flashback. That, or make Stamp Zod's father in flashback.

The Christopher Reeve on tv idea makes the most sense and comes right out of the Marvel playbook since they did that in the Hulk reboot with Banner watching Bill Bixby on tv.

I only hope that when Batman is rebooted the director shows more love for the live action history of Batman by having an Adam West and or Michael Keaton cameo.

No one I hope, kind of defeats the purpose of starting over new if you're having pointless cameos from the past.

I didn't see anybody from Burton/Schumacher's Batman cameo in Nolan's Batman, why do we have to sit through a pointless cameo that the vast majority of people WILL NOT RECOGNIZE?!!!

I'd only be happy with the pimp. That's it.

The closest Nolan got to a cameo in his bat films was that the Asian actor Bruce Wayne is speaking with in the prison chow line at the start of Batman Begins had played a gangster in Batman (89) The scene where the Joker shocks the one mobster to death.

Chris Reeve on Television..
LOL the pimp would be a nice touche
maybe say the same line as he did in the original about Supes changing real quick in the phone booth.
