Now taking place beyond the eyesight of potential paparazzi, principal photography is still in full swing for Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World. And according to Shepherd Management Limited casting agency, 2 of their notable clients have signed on for the anticipated Alan Taylor-directed sequel. They've announced that British actor Clive Russell & Welsh-American actor Richard Brake have unspecified, but presumably minor, roles in the film.

Clive Russell, 66, has appeared in Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes and its 2011 sequel, numerous British television series, and he was recently cast as Ser Brynden Tulley the Blackfish in HBO’s 3rd season of Game of Thrones. Richard Brake, 47, is best known for playing the DC character Joe Chill in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins. And he's also appeared in Hannibal Rising, Water for Elephants, & alongside Ray Stevenson in Outpost.

Other news related to Thor: The Dark World, that’s rather spoilerific, comes from a well-known stuntman who’s currently working on the film. And although it's not too hard to find, I won't name or link the stuntman/actor and where he posted the following, for obvious reasons. But alluding to a scene he was filming for the sequel earlier this month, the post read: (highlight below to read possible spoiler in its entirety)

“Currently running away from a large spaceship as it crash lands into a palace I'm guarding. (as you do!). Can't say anymore than that. Shhhh.”

More news related to the much-anticipated sequel; Fandral actor Zachary Levi recently tweeted a hilarious picture from the Shepperton Studios, where filming is also taking place, alongside Heimdall actor Idris Elba. Teasing his blonde 'do and goatee that he grew out and dyed just for the Dashing role, check out Levi’s Instagram-filtered photo below.

Exploring Thor's relationship with the Asgardian all-father Odin, as well earthbound companion Jane Foster, “Thor: The Dark World” follows the God of Thunder to The Nine Realms beyond Asgard and earth. And as his evil half-brother, Loki, returns for Asgardian justice, a new threat rises. Also rejoining Thor are his fellow Asgardians, Lady Sif, gatekeeper Heimdall and Warriors Three, as they encounter mythical Norse creatures among evildoers.

“Thor: The Dark World” stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Jaimie Alexander, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Stellan Skarsgard, Ray Stevenson, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Rene Russo, with Alice Krige & Kat Dennings. And Alan Taylor (“Game of Thrones”) takes over directorial duties from Kenneth Branagh, who helmed the first “Thor” film. From a screenplay by Don Payne and Robert Rodat, “Thor: The Dark World” is set for release on November 8, 2013.

Zachary will be able to deliver the perfect personality for Fandral. I was a little concerned with how they would pull of the blonde look for him but keeping some of the darker roots seems to do it.

Zach looks great; not Levy-ish, which removes my concern on his being cast in the role. I am happy.

Alan Taylor seems to be making Thor more medi-eval and epic!
But i credit George RR Martin for the epicness of the TV series. Alan's just a director.

I think were missing a point here...what space ship is crashing and into what palace?...Could it be crashing into Odin's palace in Asgard...an invasion attempt maybe?

how about for Thor 3..Adrianne Palicki as Enchantress and Jason Momoa or The Rock as the Executioner...

anyways..i hope Phase 2 movies will be ALL better than the phase 1's collectively.

I think Dwayne Johnson as the Executioner is a good idea but i've always felt because of Enchantress school girl crush on Thor that it should be played by someone who looks a little younger then Adrianne Palicki. My choice would be Tamsin Egerton.

There is no doubt in my mind that Zach Levy will be better than Dallas as Fandral. I'm hoping to see a little more warriors three in this one. Not that they were't well represented in Thor but it would be nice to see them along side him for majority of the movie. As far as Enchantress and the Executioner go, I wouldn't be shocked if we don't see them at all. Surtur will probably be the main villian in Thor 3 but i guess they might have a shot as minor villians. But Thor 2 I believe will be much better than Thor. i think the medieval look is the way to go when filming Thor. Seems more that that's how it would actually be in Asgard.
