In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.

Man Of Steel will be with us June 14th, 2013.

If people aren't convinced by now of the quality that we are seeing in these MOS trailers, then they just don't want to see it. Four days and counting!

"If Man of Steel turns out to be the greatest comic book film ever, or second best well... good start, DC."

No, expected start. I've never been concerned with what DC can do with Superman. They made a great Superman movie thirty years ago. I'm more concerned about what they can do with characters not named Batman and Superman.

No, it doesn't.

What's bad is that Terrance Stamp was in "Elektra" and that didn't help it make more than $57 million. For that matter, "Catwoman" made more money than "Elektra" and yes, those films make "Green Lantern" look like an Oscar Winner.

Will they ever call him Superman for real?

@ SuperJag

I agree with the slow pace of DC/WB but do not blame DC. DC has their hands tied because of WB, if DC has their studio etc... it would be a different ball game.

"Like who? Who would you like to see them do next?"

Wonder Woman. A movie for that character is very long overdue. After her, the Flash, a better Green Lantern movie, Martian Manhunter. I don't even want to begin to hear about a Batman reboot before those projects.
