Miles Teller On Why He Signed On For FANTASTIC FOUR: Less Responsibility Than SPIDER-MAN
In the following video interview with Digital Spy, Miles Teller (Whiplash) reveals that the ensemble nature of Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot drew him to the role of Reed Richards, as he knew he'd be able to "share the superhero world" with other actors. Click on to take a look...
While we all await our first official look at... well, anything from Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot, here's a snippet from Digital Spy's video interview with Miles Teller. The Whiplash actor will play Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic) alongside Kata Mara as Sue Storm, Michael B Jordan as Johnny Storm and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm, and he admits that sharing the weight of the responsibility with that superhero team was one of the reasons he agreed to the film. Teller specifically mentions Spider-Man as a role that he perhaps wouldn't be quite ready to take on, as it would be a more "isolating experience".
"If it was Spider-Man, that entire movie's on my shoulders and that's a more isolating experience. I don't know if I would be into it, but the fact that it's a movie that I knew we'd share... the superhero world, that's a whole different animal. That's a pretty serious commitment."
