Toby Kebbell Slams Fox's Depiction Of Doctor Doom; Will Return To Role If Marvel Get The Rights Back

Kong: Skull Island star Toby Kebbell makes it clear that he wasn't happy with the Doctor Doom he was given in Josh Trank's Fantastic Four and expresses a desire to play a real version of him...

Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot got pretty much everything wrong, including its depiction of Doctor Doom. Like the first two movies, the villain was shoehorned into the team and much of Toby Kebbell's performance (which was really good for the most part) ended up on the cutting room floor thanks to the extensive reshoots which took place due to various behind the scenes issues.

Writer and producer Simon Kinberg recently claimed that Fox won't move forward with a sequel until the time is right, but one person who won't be back for that is Kebbell. Asked by HeyUGuys.com about a possible return, the British actor quickly replied: "I won't be in it!" However, he did have plenty of good things to say about Doom as a character and what Fox is doing wrong with him in the Fantastic Four franchise. "Truth is, Doom is an incredible bad guy. They just keep trying to force him into the Fantastic Four. They just need to move it out because he smashes up Thor and Iron Man and they get wasted. Doom is a monster, but my Doom was not, so that is that."

When the site then put it to him that he'd probably be happy to come back if Marvel Studios somehow regained the rights to the team and villain, Kebbell seemed a lot more excited. "Yeah, if they lend him out like a footballer. They do with Spider-Man!" What do you guys think?

His doom was indeed not the monster he is supposed to be. They should give the rights back to marvel. Or at least Doom and Galactus

Just make a friggin' Dr. Doom movie. It doesn't even have to be about anything, just his day-to-day life.

@MrMartyMarvel - They should film it like an episode of Curb Yor Enthusiasm, soundtrack and all.

@lnTylerWeTrust - I'd trust Netflix lol. They've given us the best villains of the MCU.
