Possiblity of sequels
"I know, absolutely I think there will be a sequel. I’m pretty positive about it," he said, going on to elaborate on the rebooted franchise potential. "No one’s has said anything yet but I’m very positive there will be one. I mean that’s what we’re here to do — to really tell those stories because it’s a phenomenal hero and action adventure. There’s a bountiful amount of stories to tell. So I think they will definitely have two or three more."

Preparing his body for the role
"We had about four to six weeks to get ready," he answered. "It was tons of weight training and cardio. Because we had to put mass on very quickly it was a lot of heavy weights and a pretty strict diet"

Preparing mentally for the role
"Every morning." He said, "It’s funny, I get picked up and when I shook off all the sore and the pain. I always listen to Pantera, there’s a song called ‘Walk’ that was definitely the Conan song. A lot of old Metallica and a lot of Rage Against the Machine. That always helped.

I applaud the confidence that Jason has about possible sequels, but he might want to wait til the first one is out in theaters before making such a bold declaration.

Personally I'm not sure about this movie. I want to like this movie. I loved the Arnold Schwarzenegger versions, but this one is trying to stay more faithful to the source material, make it leaner and meaner. But...the trailers are all over the place. A few make the film look cheesy like Krull, while others are so deliciously violent and brutal that get me quite stoked. Too bad the best parts of the vicious trailers are the younger Conan doing grisly things, and not the elder.

Starring Jason Momoa, Ron Perlman, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, and Rose McGowan, Conan the Barbarian is set to be released in 2D and 3D on August 19th!
