The man can do no wrong as a villain! He was even better in "The Hard Way" than he was in Avatar and he was the best part of Steven Segal's "Fire Down Below"!!! Spectacular villain, can't wait for Conan!!! :))

Stephen Lang was the best thing in Avatar; people actually cheered when his character was killed, very few actors can get that sort of reaction from their audience.

However I think it is still too early too decide if this film will be any good. I'm going to at least wait for the full trailer.

Crom is pleased.

Been a fan of Lang's since he nearly stole Tombstone away from the likes of Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, and the incomparable Powers Boothe as the loveable Ike Clanton! "Law just don't go around here, law dog!" Was made an even bigger fan when I realized he was the same guy who played Col. Quaritch in Avatar "give me the willies" (he needs to play Cable before he gets too old, too)! Can't wait to see him in full on fantasy mode what with swords and half naked maidens running about! AYE!

I don't care about any negative comments, bring them on!!! THIS MAN IS UP THERE WITH DARTH VADER AND THE JOKER AND DR DOOM. He is the best villian actor I can think off. His voice , his build, his attitude, and his look all scream "bad guy". This shot is excellent, it instantly changed my mind on this flick. I may be wrong and but I doubt it. I was only wrong once before and that was a mistake!

Well he definitely looks like a Conan villain, but...why are they re-hashing the first Arnie movie all over again? There are tons of Conan stories by Howard and Jordan, why not pick one of those and expand on it? I just don't think I can stomach Momo in this role, knowing as much as I do about Conan.

He looks... MEAN!:) Would have looked better as bald!

I seriously hope they have same kind of EPIC theme like the first Conan movie!... If not the same!

Still i think Warlord Zym should be working for Thoth-Amon!
It would be cool to see him behind the curtains!:)

Gary Oldman should be Thoth-Amon!
He if anybody can play spooky and twisted characters!

And where is Conan´s trusted friend Lord Zula He should have been in this movie too! Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje would have been perfect for that role!

And Olivia Wilde as Belit (Conan´s love interest)

They are following Howard's writings and NOT rehashing the first Arnie movie. It isn't going to focus on one book, but the general Howard concept of the Conan story. That is the main reason I am stoked for this one. Not sure why you are thinking they are re-hashing the old one.

It definitely needs to be based on Howard's writing, not anything else.

Howard's stories are solid, the movies that play in my head as I read Howard's work are epic.

I wouldn't change much, I'd put a couple of the original short stories together and tweek it a bit to make it flow.

Why do movie makers always have to try to change great stories?

Is it their ego making them think they can improve the story?

They should know by now that nothing beats the already proven original storylines.
