Nicholas Gonzalez has been cast as Matthew, a good-natured local cop who is dating a ditzy coworker of Ingrid Beauchamp’s (Rachel Boston) but is also interested in Ingrid. His profession soon keeps him very busy when a series of strange deaths plague his normally peaceful town.

Witches of East End (which is from 20th Century Fox TV's Fox 21 banner) centers on the adventures of a mother (Julia Ormond) and her two adult daughters (Jenna Dewan and Rachel Boston), both of whom unknowingly are their family's next generation of witches. The young women lead seemingly quiet, uneventful modern day lives in Long Island's secluded seaside town of North Hampton. When one of the daughters becomes engaged to a young, wealthy newcomer, a series of events forces her mother to admit to her daughters they are, in fact, powerful and immortal witches.

Maggie Friedman penned the pilot and will executive produce the project along with Erwin Stoff of 3 Arts Entertainment. The hour-long pilot is expected to air later this year.
