Orlando Bloom Won't Be Back in the Caribbean

Everybody's favourite swashbuckling pansy hero will not be returning to the Flying Dutchman.

According to a report through Hollywood Scoop from MTV News, Orlando Bloom will not be returning to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Already well suspected and hinted at, Orlando Bloom said that he would "definitely not" be appearing in a fourth Pirates movie.

"I had a great time making those movies," he said. "I just really wanted to do different things, but I think it's going to be great. Whatever Johnny does, I think it's fantastic."

This doesn't surprise much, and it gives the men and women behind the scenes of the next movie an opportunity to branch out and do some more stories, focusing on other characters.

Good! He was shit in it anyway. No offense to the bloke but he only got away with his lack of talent in LOTR due to the nature of his character.

I thought the first two films were good but what the hell was the third one about. There was so much going on, yeah it was entertaining I guess but what the hell.

Agreed BB - I thought he did a decent job in the two blockbuster movies he was in. Unfortunately nothing else.

joshw24 - Agreed! The 1st was great but only for two reasons, the obviously fantastic Johnny Depp pulling out a role nobody expected, and then Geoffrey Rush's brilliant portrayal of the classic pirate. The following movies went the same way as the Matrix.

@Ron & josh - I liked the 2nd and 3rd but I agree with you on the 1st one being good cause of those points. I was in a Mall in Denver and got pulled in to this viewing room to check this out before it was released. I really was not a fan but it didn't show any of the actors just a short trailor mostly showing pirate ships and skeleton dudes. Depp and Rush did a great job and I think made the movie. Totally just my opinion though.

Oh nooos! How will Johnny Depp survive the sinking of his dingy without his trusty plank of wood... Wha? That was an actor? Who the hell is Ormando Hume? Bloom. Shit, I watched all three movies and thought that was a 2x4. What'dya know.

You know come to think of it he did look like that big club with the blond wig Viggo kept lugging around in LOTR. You know the one the hairy midget kept talking to.

I think it's good that Will Turner won't be returning and hopefully not Elizabeth either. The story with those characters have gotten too big. It needs to start small again with a new set of characters.
