Biggest single market for
Tides in 3D was Russia, where the opening day registered $5 million, which Disney described as a record first day in the market. The figure was 80 percent above the debut day recorded by
At World’s End, which is the top foreign grosser so far of the
Pirates titles with an overseas tally of $654 million.
In the U.K., Tides recorded $3.2 million in its opening day, $3.3 million in France (38 percent above the comparable
At World’s End figure in the market), $1.7 million in Italy and $1.3 million in Sweden, the biggest first day figure ever in the market.
