Despite receiving mixed reviews upon release (gaining a 65% rating on Rotten Tomatoes with 260 reviews), Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was still a big success. The first in a new Middle-earth trilogy from Warner Bros. has currently earned nearly $950M at the worldwide box office, and is expected to cross the $1 billion mark soon. Now, with The Desolation Of Smaug set for December 13th, 2013 and There And Back Again for July 18th, 2014, the studio has confirmed the Blu-Ray and DVD specs for An Unexpected Journey.
