With the success of Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead, it was bound to happen. According to T.V Guide, The CW will be picking up a new zombie series called, "Awakening."

Allegedly, the show will be about two sisters, fighting with each other during a zombie uprising. It is already being called "The Walking Dead for young females"
The producers and writers on "The Awakening" are William Laurin, Glenn Davis. With Howard T. Owens, Carolyn Bernstein and Todd Cohen producing as well.

Also in the works, NBC is doing the monster mash in Zombie's Vs. Vampires which is from McG Productions. McG is behind the hit shows Supernatural, Human Target, Chuck, Nikita, The O.C.

I really don't know what to make of this. I love a good zombie tale as much as the next guy, and a show with Z's fighting V's sounds pretty cool. But a sexy zombie show, that might be a little too much.
