The site points in a very short note a possible list with three possible directors for the sequel.

Hearing that Jaume Collet-Serra (UNKNOWN), F Gary Gray (SET IT OFF), and John Chu (oh hell no!) are the names circling the sequel.

No word when filming will begin. But the cast from the original movie that had Channing Tatum, Rachel Nichols, Sienna Miller, Dennis Quaid and Marlon Wayans is suppose to return.

PASS. The only good thing about the 1st one was... um... oh, yeah... NOTHING :-P I don't care if they got James Cameron to take over, the 1st was such a fuster-cluck I just don't think theres any saving it. ***REBOOT***

Why no to Chu?

Kevin Tacheron directed Fame and he went on to direct the MK Web series which was type brutal. Dont judge this guy by the few films he made. He probably only did it for the cash anyways

Damn, not a fan of Channing Tatum. Even if it does get a new director, I won't be excited to see this.

I'll still watch it with my nephews. Not like the first movie was any more cheesy than the cartoon series.

@ZombiOverEasy: Oh,yeah, the first thing (calling it a movie is streaching a bit too much for me) is WAY cheesier than the cartoon ;-P

I think they can kind of reboot it and make it a sequel. I didn't hate the first one since it didn't expect a realistic film, but it's a bit short from greatness ;). They should ditch Tatum and Wayans and a few other guys and add Flint, Lady Jaye, Quick Kick, Roadblock, Shipwreck and Gung Ho and keep Snake Eyes. They already set up Destro and gave him the metal head so if they just give Cobra Commander the iconic look it'll work!

They need a man to lead them, not a boy like Tatum. I like Mathew Fox as Flint.

Not a big fan of any of theses directors for the movie. With a sequel you have serious potential to fix the problems with the last film, and you need a more serious filmmaker, and a good filmmaker to do that.

I wish Hasbro wasn't going for theses directors (and even bad directors like Stephen Sommers and Michael Bay) and went out more for talent. How awesome would it be to see Alfonso Cauron, Marc Forester, Duncan Jones, Cameron Crowe, or even Matt Reeves directing a G.I Joe movie. Directors with good track records and shown talent in film and could bring a bit of credibality to the project.
