IDW has solicitations for 2012, and one title is the official prequel of the movie, G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation!



and of course, Roadblock:


We can assume that this is the G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation look of Snake Eyes because way back, we already saw The Rock as Roadblock and it looks exactly the same as the one on the comic book cover above.

Well, what do you guys think? I think it looks awesome because they decided to take off the mouth. He is, after all The Silent Master. Lol.

Thanks man. The movie is shaping up. I really can't wait for 2012. I know big guns like The Avengers, TDKR, TSM will be out but I'm also looking forward to see the Joes in action.

@TheSecretAvenger Same here, I'm actually very excited for this. First movie had its moments (other than the action of course), but it looks like the sequel will actually be a Joe film. Plus with a great cast, great characters etc., this should be pretty good at least.

@ PaulRom: Yeah ROC is fun to watch if it wasn't for Sommers trying hard to copy a spy film. I have faith in John Chu. It's like he's a man-kid playing in his backyard with of course, G.I. Joe toys. You follow me? :D

@ Anthrax: Wah? First of all, no lips. It has an interesting shoulder armor, which connects to some brace that goes around his neck. Pretty cool looking forearm guards, and what appears to be rib protection with some straps and buckles. The distinctive lack of fake rubber-muscles is a welcome sight, too.

What made you think it looks the same?

Hopefully that is the suit in the movie.

I would have made it look more like the one in GI Joe: Resolute thou.

I'm over that Tatum is still playing Duke. What I'm worried about is how will they put The Baroness, Cobra Commander and Destro back. I have a feeling, Zartan is the new Cobra leader. But who knows?

OK, 2 Questions:

1. Is the comic covers saying its a prequel of the 1st GI Joe movie or that the comic is a prequel of the 2nd?

2. Watching the kick-ass clip of Snake Eyes from resolute again made me think of how awesome a TV series with him just kicking ass would be. No speech a problem? Aeon Flux did ok. Wouldn't that be cool?
