Director David Ayer Appears To Tease Poison Ivy And Catwoman For GOTHAM CITY SIRENS

It looks like director David Ayer has taken to social media to confirm his involvement with Gotham City Sirens, and to reveal Poison Ivy and Catwoman as Harley Quinn's (Margot Robbie) partners in crime.

In a surprising turn of events, David Ayer has decided to return to Warner Bros. and the DC Films Universe to helm Gotham City Sirens, a live-action adaptation of Paul Dini's comic book series of the same name. It's also been revealed that Suicide Squad's Margot Robbie is set to make her return as fan-favorite Harley Quinn, and will serve as an executive producer on the film. But just who will make up the other Sirens? Well, director David Ayer seems to have answered that question.

For now, we can only speculate as to who will be standing alongside Harley Quinn in the film and whether or not it will stay faithful to the source material - however, David Ayer has taken to his official Twitter account to confirm his involvement, and appears to have teased the Sirens roster while he was at it. The tweet features the "Sirens4ever" hashtag with artwork showcasing Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman

It's possible that Ayer simply used random Gotham City Sirens artwork he took from the Internet, but it could also mean that Geneva Robertson-Dworet, the writer hired to develop the film, is sticking close to the source material, which would most likely include the original three Sirens.

What do you think about the potential roster for Gotham City Sirens? Should other female villains be included?

I was expecting the original three to be the main focus and roster of the film. But seeing how little we got of Katana and how much Ayer and Robbie enjoyed working with Fukuhara, I'm expecting her to be in the film as well. Maybe Talia al Ghul and some other villains appear as well.

@Kr08 - Katana will FOR SURE be in the movie. After the abysmal treatment she got in SS I am hoping for redemption

@MattBellissimo - I agree. Fukuhara is really talented and was BEYOND shoehorned into SS. It's like she was important in an early draft, they cut everything she does, and then kept her in for some reason.

@MattBellissimo - Idk. I'm not sure I even wanna see her in it. I mean they cut out very important scenes to her character. To me for her to be done justice she needs to be in an Outsiders movie. I don't trust Ayer at all.

@Nightmare - It's important to note that Ayer won't be writing the film this time.

@MattBellissimo - Sure but he's directing and producing. We'll see. I don't wanna see her shoehorned as before mentioned. I really like Fukuhara too.

Will be the first time Ayer directed a movie he had no hand in writing since Street Kings.

@Kr08 - Talia is going to appear on Arrow on the second half of the current season, so you can discard her by now
