Mezco Toys have announced they are releasing action figures from the upcoming big-screen adaptation of the comic book series and TV show being directed by Michel Gondry. The movie follows the adventures of Britt Reid, a bored playboy who inherits his father's crusading newspaper, the Daily Sentinel. By night he is a masked hero, fighting crime with his sidekick Kato, who has incredible martial-arts skills.







"Mezco 12inch 1/6th scale figures are based on the characters from the upcoming big budget tent pole film from Sony Pictures. The Green Hornet, due to release January 2011. A classic character of film, television, radio, and comic books returns to the big screen in Columbia Pictures’ feature film The Green Hornet, starring Seth Rogen as the vigilante crime-fighter. The film will be based upon “The Green Hornet” radio series created by George W. Trendle.

The 12 inch figures feature amazing attention to detail, perfectly capturing both the actor’s likenesses as well as the spirit of the characters.

The Green Hornet features 11 points of articulation, as well as an alternate right hand, gas gun, and real cloth coat Kato features 9 points of articulation, and an alternate right hand with gun.

Both figures are packaged in a collector friendly window box.

The Green Hornet and Kato ship in November 2010 and are available for preorder on Mezco's site."



Green Hornet is set to be released in cinemas on January 14, 2011.

I have very very low expectations of this film. Won't be suprised if it gets a 36% or lower on the Rottentomatoes scale.

nothing about this says its going to blow? why is it gonna blow you dumbasses? would that be because the first director dropped the movie because he wanted a comedy whereas the rest wanted a serious movie? hmmm would it be because the innovative and visual mastermind (WITHOUT CGI) Michel Gondry is behind it? Hmm is it because Seth Rogan is staking his career anywhere past comedy on this role? or is it because a lot of you want to judge and complain when there is nothing to complain about.. hell even some of you bitched about the cap costume.. I hope you guys are only this way with movies because life is going to suck if every time you get what you ask for, you bitch about it.. maybe thats why Watchmen did so poorly in the box office.

@tea- you got me with the ed thing.. but calm down? really? Im have the exact amount of emotion everyone hating this movie is having, just in the other direction. IDk how people can hate something they havent seen but everyone here seems to, and its absurd because he ingredients look good for this one and no ones giving it a chance. The movie could bomb and all of you would be right, but based off of the information we have there's no reasoning for all of this hate and lame fail jokes.. im so sick of hearing people so fail, its like wearing suspenders.. give people time and they will kno ur a nerd, you dont need to boast that in your lame one word phrase

@mskyle- so on the IM2 news pages everyone was all excited and loving it, and if someone said ffail or this sucks, theyd have been in a shit storm.. does that mean everyone defending IM2 was paid off? Or does it mean conflicting ideas arent as welcome as people pretend they are on this site. There's nothing about this to show that it will suck. Honestly because rogan is the lead? okay well maybe he will suck, i bet ur wanna the many who bashed ledger for getting the joker role because he didnt seem to fit the role, mind you his track record was far better and im not comparing the 2 as actors, jsut showing the mentality people have over new ideas.. no wonder hollywood loves remakes... anyway enjoy judging a movie with no trailer yet.. I can see you've crafted your opinion over some real strong evidence.....

Blankie, i just don't have any faith in this movie. And let me tell you, with all the IM2 hype, i thought the movie was sub par. Definitely not on the level of the first one. So no, i have no problems voicing my opinion on here even if its not popular. I'm not a bobblehead going with the majority. i honestly think this movie will suck. I have super powers so stop questioning me OR I WILL MAKE YOUR PEEN DISAPPEAR! :D

to all the people saying, "Fail": We've seen NONE of the movie yet. No trailer. No clips. NOTHING. How has it failed? The costumes actually look pretty faithful to the series, not the exact same, but where's the fun in that?

Wait till we see some footage at least

I reeeaaallly want this movie to succeed. I know a lot of you guys are Seth Rogen haters and that's fine. His comedy is not for everyone. However, if stretching as an actor equals fail in your book, then you must be the same people that thought RDJ was going to suck as Iron Man and Heath couldn't play the Joker because of the "gay cowboy movie." I'll admit that the cast and director of this flick came waaayyy out of left field, but come on, it could end up really quirky and cool. For all we know, this might end up being the definitive version of the Green Hornet. I've been defending this movie since the get-go and I will be the first to admit I was wrong if it sucks, but this really seems like a labor of love for the people involved in its creation, so I highly doubt it's going to be campy. Watch the trailer when it comes out, then have an opinion. Until then, try to give it at least a fighting chance.

how the [frick] is this movie going to fail? cause all the people here that's saying is going to fail doesn't say why they think is going to fail all ya just saying is going to fail and ya yer there isn't even a trailer or a clip out. so there's no reason to say is going to fail if ya haven't seen a trailer and toy don't say shit about a film just how the characters going to be and it looks great the toys.

Jeez.... it's getting to the point where people can't voice their opinion anymore with out people bashing them for it. I personally don't have any faith in this movie, but if you think the movie will be ok... then fine. If not, people should be allowed to say so. THESE LOOK CHEAP! I have a 1:6 scale Kamui Guiden action figure, 1:6 scale Crimson Cobra Commander Action figure, Sandman, and a Samurai (all 1:6 scale) and the detail is AMAZING! Especially with the Asian Male action figures, which is hard to find (unless they look anime). I was so excited when I heard they were going to have action figures 1:6 scale to this Green Hornet. UGH, Seth Rogen's outfit looks the wrong shade of green. And Kato just looks like a generic Asian guy (head) left over from another Action figure. Jay Chou (Kato) is ADORABLE and even though he's wearing a mask I can tell it (this action figure) doesn't look like him. Sigh. Well thanks for letting me rant. Gonna listen to TRON,lol! Happy Holidays all!
