Common is not John Stewart

It seems that John Stewart may not even play in the new Justice League movie.

HipHopDX reported that Common will not play the role of The Green Lantern in the upcoming Justice League of America film.

It seems that Warner Brothers has chosen to develop the script around Hal Jordan instead of John Stewart, the African American Green Lantern. Currently, actor Chris Pine, who stars in the upcoming Star Trek movie, is in the running for the role of the original Green Lantern (Alan Scott is not counted as these Lantens).

The site also reported that the Justice League movie directed by Martin Campbell, is expected to be released December 17, 2010. I'm not sure as to the validity of the date.

I would like to see John Stewart in a movie, he is my favorite human Lantern. But it makes since for them to start with Hal, since John is his backup/ partner.
