Since Friday June 17, the anticipated superhero movie “Green Lantern” has already been getting terrible reviews from critics with Rotten Tomato saying the film was noisy, overproduced, and thinly written and Peter Travers from Rolling Stone calling the movie “Comic Book Hell”. Even comic book writer Mark Millar declared the movie as the worst superhero ever made. Well today, I went to see Green Lantern today after reading all the reviews to form my own opinion. I have to the say that while Green Lantern was not the best but not the worst superhero movie. In fact, it is better than Jonah Hex and Superman Returns.

The film did one thing that Superman Returns failed to do was keeping me entertained and awake. It had action-packed scenes, the hero was not emo or a peeping tom, and the hero did not have a won that he did not know about. The only problem I had with the film was that Reynolds’ portrayal of Hal Jordan was actually leaning a little towards Kyle Rayner. Other than that, the film was good and I would go see it again if I wanted to.
