Tyrese Gibson Continues To Tease That He and Chris Pine Are GREEN LANTERNS

Tyrese Gibson really wants us to believe that he and Star Trek Into Darkness actor Chris Pine will be the DC Cinematic Universe's new Green Lanterns, John Stewart and Hal Jordan. Apparently "Oaths have been taken..."

Tyrese Gibson's campaign to play Green Lantern in the DC Cinematic Universe went dormant for a time before a recent report from Latino Review, which stated that their sources were telling the site that Pine was not playing Steve Trevor in the standalone Wonder Woman movie, but instead, was actually Hal Jordan.  The site further reported that the DCCU would be looking to introduce the full Green Lantern Corps. right off the bat, instead of focusing on an origin story for Hal.  This would include debuts for John Stewart and potentially Guy Gardner as well (no word on Alan Scott, Kyle Ranner or Simon Baz). 

Well, this latest rumor seems to have reunited Gibson's campaign.  He appears to definitely be taking a page out of his Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel's playbook, as Diesel teased involvement with Marvel Studios LONG before he'd ever even had a meeting with Kevin Feige.  His efforts and fan support seemingly rewarded him the role of Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy and the current scuttlebutt is that Diesel has been pegged to play Black Bolt in an Inhumans movie. 

Could the same approach work for Gibson? Time will tell.

Tyrese can't play serious. Comedic actor terry crews would kill it as john Stewart.
Maybe Tyrese is going for Hal Jordan.

i would love this. pine as hal is perfect, and tyresee would rock as john stewart. I dont understand all the hate he gets on here, he obviously is a real big fan and wants the part. His hearts already in it, i say let him go for it!

If DC is serious about the character of John Stewart the role calls for a different actor. I like Tyrese in FF, but I just don't see him as Stewart.

It's funny how people say we need a good actor to play Jon.... Jon is such a bland, boring character, Tyrese might actually make him have some character.... And if you just want the real Jon Stewart all he has to do is brood.... Any actor can pull that off.
