It sounds like Amanda Seyfried could have played Gamora in Marvel and James Gunn's
Guardians of the Galaxy... if she'd been interested in the role, that is.
While speaking to MTV International about her new movie
The Art of Racing in the Rain, the
Mean Girls actress was asked if she had any designs on playing a superhero, and revealed that she turned down the chance to play one particular character because it would have required her "to be green for six months."
"I turned down [a superhero movie] once and they haven’t called back since," said Seyfried.
"And it was a big’un. I don’t regret it because I didn’t want to be green for six months out of every year. They tell beautiful stories through superheroes, and my daughter’s now really obsessed with superheroes now, and part of me wishes I’d done it, but the other part of me is like ‘I had a life to live’ and I don’t think I would’ve been happy."
Although Seyfried doesn't mention Gamora by name, we can't think of any other Marvel or DC superhero/villain she could be referring to!
Of course, Zoe Saldana went on to land the part and has been doing a terrific job as the MCU's deadliest woman in the galaxy, but is there another comic book character you could see Amanda Seyfried suiting up as Drop us a comment down below.
